OK maybe LHO wasn't a jerk or maybe he was sometimes.... I didn't know him so I am looking around for those who did.
What did they think?

It was a few days later, I was going around the drive to see about my rent and he was starting out the drive to catch a bus on the corner, and when he saw me he turned around and looked, figured I was coming after the rent. I said, "Oswald, you got the rent? The landlady is coming for the rent." He said, "Yes, I have it."
He was fixing to go to the bus, so he turned around to walk up the drive to go get the money, and I said, "Go on where you have to go; I will get it later," and he just pushed me aside and went by me and went and got the money and handed it to me.
Mr. LIEBELER - Did he actually push you aside physically?
Mrs. GARNER - Yes, just like that, and I called to him and I said, "Never mind; go where you have to go and I will get it later," and he just took me like this and pushed me aside and just went, you know, just went by me like that.
Mr. LIEBELER - He actually laid his hands on you?
Mrs. GARNER - Put his hands on me just like that, and pushed me.
Mr. LIEBELER - Did he say anything?
Mrs. GARNER - He didn't say a thing. He come back and gave me the money and that was it.
Mr. LIEBELER - When was the next time you had any----
Mrs. GARNER - Well, I didn't talk to him any more than that, because I noticed how he was, wouldn't answer you when you say good morning or good evening, hello or good morning, so I just never bothered.

Does this show he was a jerk? Yup.
Does it mean he was an assassin? Nope.
Now a-days one could be arrested for assault.
I myself-have had more run-ins with landladies than I would ever care to dwell on....my strong suggestion---Buy your own home.

Lee was a sucker   ( aka, a patsy)...who trusted those that had shiny badges, and credentials ...credentials of organizations that he thought he could trust.

If Lee Oswald was a "jerk".... then there are tens of thousands of us who are also "jerks" because we believed in our country and answered the call to defend our  nation and beliefs

That's true IF IF the landlady could PROVE to the police that the assault actually happened.   You're taking up the landlady's story without a scintilla of evidence, that the story is true.   Many folks offered disparaging tales about Lee Oswald AFTER  the newspapers had smeared him.   Those folks simply wanted to help put the noose around the neck of his corpse.   Those folks would be no different than the animals who dragged our soldiers bodies through the streets of Mogadishu.

Interestingly, 7 percent now say there might have even been a second a-hole involved in the shooting.? The survey also revealed that 18 percent of Americans were confident Oswald had acted ?pretty damn cool.?
