I don't want anyone to think I'm under the illusion that my original post here is saying anything clever or breaking new ground. CTer Ron Ecker said basically the same thing at the Ed Forum 20 years ago, and I'm sure the same observations were made long before that and many times after. What Geneva Hine was talking about is entirely obvious.

The real point is that a Big League CTer like David Josephs, who seemingly lives and breathes the JFKA and postures himself as a deeply serious researcher, is STILL spouting this nonsense. He actually called it - just yesterday - a "crucial" point. (One of his sycophants urged him to write THE definitive book on the JFKA because "You da man, David!!!")

Virtually ALL of these CT gurus are hucksters. They are wedded to their theories like televangelists and peddling their wares with little regard for accuracy or truth. It's as impossible to engage in rational debate with them as it is with a cult leader and his flock. You can point out the occasional screaming, flaming, blatant factoid that is still being peddled and hope a light bulb will perhaps finally go off in some peoples' heads - but it seemingly never does.

Anyway, that was the point - not that Geneva was talking about her telephone but that obvious nonsense is still being spewed by people like David Josephs. There is simply and undeniably something wrong with the thought processes of these people.

Stick to the Facts. Your slandering this guy only distracts attention from the Facts. Plus, it makes it obvious that you can Not be objective.

There was a lengthy discussion of this issue on this forum in the past.  I agree that GH's somewhat unclear comment was meant to convey that the phones and not the power went out.  In addition, there is no conceivable conspiracy-related reason to turn the power off for a few moments.  Why bother?  If there are individuals who want to believe the power went out at that exact moment but that it had nothing to do with the assassination or a conspiracy, then knock yourselves out.  Who cares?

Disagree. This possible power outage would be a very big issue if it also impacted the TIME on the clock atop the TSBD. Personally, I believe it is important to positively know when traffic began flowing down Elm St after the Kill Shot. Along with that, we timestamp detectives like Walthers based on their being in photos with that TSBD clock in the background. A possible power outage that resulted in an inaccurate time being on the TSBD clock is very important.

There is a photograph of the clock taken just a few seconds after the assassination and it is clearly functioning.  A momentary outage would not have significantly impacted the time shown and, of course, the clock atop the building was just one source of the time.   Lastly, I seem to recall that there was a suggestion that the clock was battery powered although there was no resolution to that even from the 6th floor museum which still apparently has the clock.

"Momentary outage"? Officer Luke Mooney gave WC testimony that the power went out when he was on the freight elevator with 2 women at the 2nd Floor. They all got off the elevator and Mooney escorted them to their office and made sure everything was OK therein. He then backtracked and used the stairwell to proceed up. To me, that Mooney elapsed time is more than just "momentary".

That would have been after the assassination.  As a result, that could not have been alleged power outage described by GH at the moment of the assassination. And Mooney didn't know how to operate the freight elevator.  It was working to get him from the 1st to 2nd floor.  So the power was obviously still on at that point.  He can't get the elevator to work after those folks get off the elevator because he was not familiar with how to operate it.  Baker and Truly take the elevator up in the immediate aftermath of the assassination.

You need to read or re-read Mooney's WC Testimony. You're making assumptions. Deal with the facts. That is usually your M.O.
