Here is Tyler's animation at z144.3 which is the closest I could get to z145:

I have no idea how to tell whether she is looking at the TSBD, the car, the road, the sidewalk across the street, or something else [in Z-145].

None of us can know exactly what Rosemary Willis was looking at in Z-145, of course, but we can tell the direction she was looking.

It seems to me that she's not looking towards JFK and Jackie, but in the direction of Clint Hill in the follow-up car (directly behind whom is the TSBD).

Quote
I don't know why she would not be looking at the occupants of the President's car.

That's a telling remark by you.

It means you've ruled out the possibility of a missing-everything shot at "Z-124," half-a-second before Zapruder resumed filming at Z-133, even though at least seven prime witnesses (JFK, Jackie, Connally, Nellie, Kellerman, Hickey and Willis) made conscious and nearly simultaneous rapid head movements between Z-140 and Z-150.

And throw in Secret Service Agent Glen Bennett's leaning far to his right -- to see around Dave Powers if JFK was okay -- for good measure.

Edit:

Why is Rosemary turned in the opposite direction from the limo's travel in Z-148?

To look back in the direction of the loud sound she heard, or to awkwardly watch JFK and Jackie?

Yes.  It tells you that I am basing my conclusions on the consistent, well corroborated evidence from the witnesses who were actually there that puts the first shot after:
1. the VP car completed the turn onto Elm.
2. the VP security car had almost completed the turn
3. after JFK turned and smiled and waved for the last time
4. after Croft took his z161 photo
5. after Betzner took his z186 photo
6. an instant before Phil Willis took his z202 photo
7. as the President has reached the Thornton Feeway sign
8. when JFK was passing between Linda Willis and the Stemmons sign
9.etc

and that I do not base conclusions on my spidey senses of why people, who are supposed to be looking in different directions at different times, are looking in different directions at different times.

Clearly, the first show was the missed shot because Governor Connally head the first and 3rd shots.  He stated this in his own words. He didn't hear the 2nd shot which hit both he and President Kennedy.

With respect to a 1st shot, #7 and #8 are inconsistent. The only way JFK can be #8, "BETWEEN Linda Willis and the Stemmons sign", is if you extend a DIAGONAL line from Linda Willis to the Stemmons Sign. At this point in time, JFK is disappearing behind the Stemmons sign on the Z Film. This would be exceptionally Late for a 1st shot, not to mention some distance beyond #7, "Thornton Freeway sign".

To determine where JFK was when he was between Linda Willis and the Stemmons sign one needs to actually plot the sight line on a map of Dealey Plaza:

You can see that this puts JFK just past the lamp post and almost to the Thornton sign, which is where Moore put him and where JFK was when he had just cleared the oak tree branches:

which is also where the Warren Commission investigators had initially determined the first shot had occurred:

I am basing my conclusions on the evidence [sic] from the witnesses who were actually there.

JFK, Jackie, John Connally, Nellie Connally, Roy Kellerman, George Hickey, Glen Bennett and Rosemary Willis were actually there, too, but they were caught on film as they consciously and rapidly moved their heads within half-a-second of each other about one second after they heard Oswald's first, missing-everything, shot at "Z-124."

Why Linda Willis, what makes her so special. Why not Jean Newman or the Chisms?

According to the following witnesses, the first shot occurred:

1. after Croft took his z161 photo
2. after Betzner took his z186 photo
3. an instant before Phil Willis took his z202 photo

1. Robert Croft was referring to the fatal head shot.

2. Hugh Betzer didn't know if more than two shots were fired, but we know there were three.

3. Phil Willis: "The three shots were fired approximately about (sic) two seconds apart."  LOL!
