First fligh '54...it was likely this one imo.
The "A" was first flown in '64....
Both were 2 seaters.

A Cessna model 37, not a T-37. The C37 appeared in the 30's, and was derived from the C34. It evolved into the C165 Airmaster. The T-37 was a Cessna model 318.

BTW, most sources I see say the c37/c38/165 max endurance is 4-4.5 hours. The "Ferrie" FP is showing 5.5. Wonder why?

I saw a quote of C37 range of 550 miles. Hammond to Garland is about 470 miles. However I have seen nothing to suggest the C37 could carry more than pilot and co-pilot.
