MC-

Paul Landis may have been a team player. The team went along with the official JFKA explanation.

Ponder Secret Service agent Roy Kellerman. He said bullets entered the limo in a "flurry" on 11.22.  Obviously, based on his own statement, based on what Kellerman saw himself that day, that was not the result of a lone gunsel armed with a single-shot-per-bolt-action rifle.

Kellerman made no issue about what he saw, and drifted into obscurity after the JFKA.

Landis did too...but something made Landis set the record straight.

It's called dementia.

CE 399 is presumably the bullet that hit JFK at Z224 and then continued on to hit  JC , ending up stopped finally in JCs inner left thigh.

It is conceivable that the bullet could have fallen out of JCs thigh  before he was out of the limo, but would it not have been found on the floorboard in front of the jump seat or on the jump seat rather than the backseat?

Don’t see how a bullet falling out of JCs left pant leg would have made its way to the backseat of the limo unless some other person prior to Landis ,  picked up the bullet off the floorboard and moved it to the backseat.

It makes no sense that any SS agent would see a bullet laying either on the floorboard or the backseat and not immediately point it out to other SS or FBI or DPD.

So this seems a very improbable story to add to a lot of others  such as Beverly Oliver claiming to be Babushka lady.

It is sad that some  people are willing to fabricate stories so they can cash in on the JFKA 60 years later.

But this is what the Trine Day and Skyhorse publishing houses do.  And use each others’ books as sources.  Illegal !

I don't think Landis fabricated it. I think he developed a false memory due to cognitive decline. Not only is it highly improbable that CE399 would have made its way to the back seat, it is inconceivable that Landis would have done what he claimed he did upon finding the bullet. I know agents on the protection detail were not experienced crime scene investigators, but even a layman would have known what an important piece of evidence a bullet would be and would not have tucked it under a blanket on JFK's stretcher and hoped somebody would find it. If he had done what he said he did, why would he have waited 60 years to tell the story. It makes no sense whatsoever.

What would be even worse is if he was manipulated by a CT ambulance chaser who took advantage of his enfeebled state of mind.
