Clint Hill describes the assassination

I've seen Clint Hill describe the assassination in numerous videos but I hadn't seen this one. It's pretty much as he had described it in other videos I'd seen. The video starts as he is describing his effort to run to the car, chopping off his description of what led up to that point which is unfortunate. I would like to have heard that part. In the second half of the 9 minute video, he described the confrontation with Earl Rose over attempts to remove the body and take it to AF1. I'd heard others describe that but this was the first time I heard Hill describe it. His description wasn't nearly as dramatic as others I have heard. He seemed to have softened it a bit.

He never stepped off the car until Kennedy was already dead at Z313. If he heard a shot before reaching the car then that backs up the acoustic and eyewitness accounts of two rapid shots. He also said that last shot sounded different than the others.

That footage doesn't show the moment Hill jumped off the running board. In the second of the two frames you posted, he is already even with the front of the Queen Mary. Since both vehicles were moving forward the entire time, Hill had to outrun the vehicles in order to close on the presidential limo. Even with the vehicles moving at an estimated 11 mph, a man in street clothes and dress shoes isn't going to be able to run much faster than that so he is not going to close the gap very quickly. It's amazing he was able to reach the presidential limo at all.

When the Limo started slowing, is the reason Hill leapt from the side of the follow up Limo.
In the Muchmore footage it's clear that at the time of the headshot that Clint Hill was at least up to the front wheel of his Limo.



Clint Hill's starting position was way back from the front wheel.
