Over at the so-called JFK Assassination Debate - Education Forum, tinfoil hat JFKA conspiracy theorist Greg Burnham is perplexed because he's evidently just now noticed that some Marine Corps records pertaining to his old friend, Gerry Patrick Hemming (RIP), differ from his CIA file as to whether or not he was in the same MACS unit as Oswald in 1957. (Hemmings' Marine Corps "Unit Diary" records says he was stationed in Hawaii, but his OS file says he was at stationed at Atsugi.)

I just now took a quick look at Hemming's Office of Security file (OS-429-229) at the Mary Ferrell website, and it turns out that it was permanently signed out to a part of the OS's mole-hunting Security Research Staff known as the Security Analysis Group (SAG), whose chief was none other than probable KGB mole Bruce Leonard Solie.

This is not speculation, but observation: The CIA often used personnel who were detailed from other defense agencies.

For example, when the Kennedy Administration decided to have the SV Diem brothers waxed, they turned over dirty work to Lucien Conein, US Army officer but actual OSS/CIA operative.

If the CIA murdered JFK, it was likely through KGB operatives embedded in the CIA, and G2 allies, who manipulated LHO.

That is, it was not the CIA proper (that is, Dulles-Angleton-Harvey), but KGB'ers in CIA clothing. You know the Solie story.

Alpha 66, which had a house in Dallas remains an interesting suspect. By late 1963, Alpha 66 was actually under the aegis of Army intel, and was incorrigible.

Evidently, Gus Russo does not want to discuss with me who in New Orleans from the G2 was working on LHO.
