"You're all pretending at some sort of certainty on the basis of what is almost entirely guesswork."

And from his post previous to that:

"So Bart Kamp at Prayer Man has faked the enhanced images CLEARLY showing Lovelady in the sidewalk photos?"

Hmmmm....
I will confess, WC Sham Dan, that your point is too subtle for me. Yes, I don't think there is enough certainty about the height of Lovelady or Shelley to be doing 3D modeling and making claims on the basis of it.

On the other hand, the enhanced photos at Prayer Man clearly show that the guy on the sidewalk is Billy Lovelady unless some other guy with the same balding hair was wearing the same ghastly shirt. No, I don't think Bart faked anything. I have far higher respect for Bart than, well, Certain People I Could Mention.

Tom, thank you for the work you, Larsen and one other person did in solving the "Dog's Breakfast Identifications" of Calvery, the Stemmons Sign Women, and more along the north side of Elm Street. You don't get enough credit for that work.

Thanks, James.

Question:

Do you agree with us that Gloria Calvery can be seen standing on (or going up) the TSBD steps with her dressed-all-in-white colleague about 25 seconds after the final shot?

And then I'm done. Good thing for you folks I'm housebound while recuperating. This is all just nuts.

On Sept. 19, 2013 Gary Mack wrote: The Prayer Man question has probably been answered. I recently sent the Couch and Darnell frames to Buell Frazier and asked what he thought.  First, he wouldn’t confirm himself being on the top step because the image isn’t clear enough.  He then re-confirmed that Lovelady and Shelley were out on the steps with him, just as he has always said, but he couldn’t confirm Shelley, either, due to the image quality.

Next I asked about Shelley’s appearance and learned he was a little taller than Lovelady (who was 5’8”), had red hair and a slender build.  When I asked if Shelley usually wore a coat and tie to work Buell said no, he “dressed daily in slacks and sport shirts.”  And he repeated that he, Lovelady and Shelley stayed on the steps for “a short time” after the last shot, but he didn’t estimate how long.

We know Shelley was wearing a suit that day.

Maybe I hallucinated it? It wasn't in the past month, that's for sure. I thought I recalled the Ed Forum people lamenting his demise and I thought I had even looked at his obituary. If he's on Facebook, the reports of his death must have been greatly exaggerated.  :D

As I said, he's blocked me on Facebook but within the last week I've seen his name in a comment that was replying to one of his.

Sure Tom, spot-on Gloria Calvery on the steps with back to the camera.
