Well, well, well, looks like the Willard Hotel is the new Watergate. The Willard Hotel was the "Command Center" to plot and organize for the Trump effort to incite the 1/6 insurrection. And if WaPo is correct that the Trump 2020 campaign paid for the hotels, that’s a clear path to indicting Criminal Donald and his campaign officials for treason. Full credit goes to Seth Abramson for his excellent analysis and having been way out ahead of the media on the Willard Hotel story all along. Too bad real news gets buried in the media for insignificant nonsense that Criminal Donald spouts off as a distraction.

Video of never-before-seen Trump testimony to be shown as early as next May

Video testimony delivered by former President Donald Trump earlier this fall could be shown as soon as next May, Business Insider reports.

The deposition was taken as part of a lawsuit filed by protesters who claim they were physically assaulted by Trump security guards while demonstrating outside Trump Tower in 2015.

According to Business Insider, a judge has set a trial date for the lawsuit in May, where video of the deposition will likely be seen for the first time.

Trump reportedly testified for four hours during the deposition, although it's not clear what specifics he was asked at that time.

In addition to the former president, the protesters are also suing the Trump Organization, his campaign, and members of his security team.

Nevada Dems pounce on news that Trump-backed Senate hopeful testified at trial of Giuliani henchman Lev Parnas



Former Republican Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt may be facing new scrutiny over potential connections to Russia via convicted Rudy Guiliani associate Lev Parnas.

Laxalt, who has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump for U.S. Senate, testified at Parnas' federal trial about meeting Parnas in 2018 and having been promised $10,000 in campaign help by Parnas for his gubernatorial campaign that year, according to reporting by the Las Vegas Sun. Parnas "was found guilty Friday of funneling more than $100,000 in Russian money into U.S. political campaigns during the same election cycle," the paper reports.

Laxalt is seeking the Republican nomination to challenge Nevada Democratic incumbent Sen. Cortez Masto in the 2022 midterm elections. The Nevada Democratic Victory Fund has filed a public-records request today with the state seeking details about Laxalt's 2018 campaign, the Sun reported.

"Laxalt testified for about two hours Oct. 15 in New York regarding a $10,000 campaign donation from Parnas' colleague to Laxalt, the Sun reported. "Parnas and other co-conspirators had used a Russian backer's money to fund political contributions they hoped would win them political favor and help with their plans for a joint marijuana venture, federal prosecutors allege."

"During his testimony, Laxalt detailed how he met Parnas in 2018 at the Trump International Hotel in Washington. There former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani invited Laxalt to a balcony where some people were smoking cigars and having drinks. Parnas was on the balcony and "immediately offered" to help Laxalt's campaign, saying he would like to help raise money in the final months of the race, Laxalt told the jurors during trial.

Parnas pledged $10,000 and offered to stage a fundraiser for Laxalt. But in the weeks that followed, the fundraiser never materialized, and Laxalt seemed increasingly desperate to see a contribution from Parnas.

When Laxalt pressed for money just days before the election, he received a text from Parnas referencing Federal Election Commission litigation and saying his lawyer would not let Parnas or his wife make a contribution in their names.

Finally, a $10,000 check from "Global Energy Producers" arrived. Prosecutors maintain the money was really from the Russian financier, Andrey Muraviev.

They also made campaign contributions to Nevada Republican attorney general candidate Wes Duncan, who also lost in the general election. Both Duncan and Laxalt said they returned the money.

The Democratic group did not waste time pouncing, according to the Sun.

"This is familiar territory for Laxalt, who was constantly embroiled in pay-to-play scandals while serving as Nevada's attorney general, just like (former President Donald) Trump," Andy Orellana, senior communications adviser for Nevada Democratic Victory, said in a statement. "Now that he is running for U.S. Senate, he will have to explain to the people of Nevada why they should trust him when he has shown that he will do literally anything to benefit himself and his shady political donors."

Trump called Willard Hotel 'war room' as allies plotted coup on 'eerie' night before Capitol riot



Donald Trump called into the "war room" set up at the Willard Hotel as some of his chief allies coordinated efforts to block the certification of Joe Biden's election win, according to a reporter who was present.

Washington Post reporter Robert Costa, co-author of the book "Peril" with his colleague Bob Woodward, was outside the hotel on Jan. 5 as Rudy Giuliani, Steve Bannon and others gathered inside ahead of the "Save America" rally, and only now does he recognize the significance of what happened at that time.

"To this day I wish I had banged a little harder on that door, because it was a freezing cold night," Costa told MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "I was roaming around, and it was -- I still remember we talked about it as we were writing it because we didn't know. When you write a book, it takes months to understand the context of what's happening, what actually happened. But that night was eerie."

"We didn't know at the time that Trump's over at the White House, pounding into [vice president Mike] Pence in the one-on-one Oval Office meeting, and then after it doesn't go well for Trump, he calls into the Willard War room, and this is the key thing we found for 'Peril,'" Costa added. "It's not just a Willard war room happening in an isolated way across the street. The president is calling in, Trump's calling in. He's coordinating this effort to speak for Pence. Remember, late at night as you detailed earlier, Trump's issuing a statement saying Pence agrees with me. He's effectively taking over the vice presidency, at least in terms of the public message. This is all just hours before the insurrection."

Woodward said, based on the evidence they've already gathered, that Trump and his allies appear to have committed at least one crime.

"We talked recently with a Republican, former Republican head of the criminal division in the Justice Department, who said there is a lay-down case just in what we know," Woodward said. "It's 18 U.S. Code, section 371. I'm sorry this sounds technical, but it is. It's a law that says it's a crime to defraud the government in any deceptive way, and that's exactly what they did here."

Sure are a lot of pictures of Rudy with well known criminals like Lev Parnas tied to the Russians.

Lev Parnas is a small-time Trumpomobster who worked with Igor Fruman & Giuliani to damage US relations with Urkaine, on behalf of Putin. He was caught on funneling Russian money to Trump & GOP, went to court & lost.

Igor Fruman & Lev Parnas were caught at Atlanta airport after meeting Giuliani, on their way to Vienna, related to Ukraine in Oct 2019. Charged with 10 counts.

Igor pleaded guilty to 1 count. Will be sentenced in January. Faces 3-5 years in prison.

Lev Parnas attempted to cut a plea bargain with Feds. They negotiated for 9 months. So Lev was serious about trying to flip. Had excellent evidence.

The Feds lost interest in Flipper in May. So negotiated about Sept 2020 - May 2021. What happened?

We know what happened in April 2021. Merrick Garland as new AG approved the raid by FBI of Giuliani office, that corrupt AG Bill Barr had blocked in 2020.

Whatever powerful evidence Lev held, became worthless the moment FBI raided Rudy Colludy.

We know Lev was trying to negotiate a deal where he does not serve time inside (so out on probation on a suspended sentence). Feds were having none of that regardless of what evidence Lev held.

And the Feds were wiretapping Rudyhairdye.

If Lev had taken the deal on the table, he would have gotten LESS than Igor Fruman, who gets 3-5 years. Lev would have gone inside, like Michael Cohen, and released early. Probably 2-3 years inside.

Lev Parnas BADLY miscalculated in his gamble.

Parnas was found guilty by a jury in remarkably fast 5 hour deliberation, on all 6 counts. He faces 5 years on 5 of the counts, up to 20 years on the 6th. Theoretical maximum 45 years. Realistic final count 8-15 year sentence. Much more than Igor.

It gets WORSE for Lev Parnas. He has SECOND trial, where he now will be a criminal convict defendant. It has 4 more counts.

It can add another decade of prison time - not to run concurrently. Lev likely receives 16-25 years: a BAD miscalculation.

But wait! There's more. These 10 counts were in 2019 charging document. They are NOT the full Giuliani crime spree in Ukraine. Rudy had CONSPIRATORS. When America's Vampire goes to trial, MORE crimes will emerge and Lev can be - WILL be - charged.

Lev's role in Ukraine Giuliani crimes will add a decade to his time, and it will not run concurrently. Total time of the Lev Parnas miscalculation leads to about 25-40 years, instead of under 3 years.
