The important point is that more money is going out than coming in.  A lot more.  And that has been the case for a long time.  The US is $38 trillion and counting in debt.   All the money coming in goes into a big pot from which all the outgoing spending is funded (social security, wars etc).  Currently, more social security money is being spent than coming in. The differnce has to be made up from other sources.  So if you are spending billions on a war, that money is not available to pay for social security.  That is not sustainable.

There is:
Option A (the Biden plan aka do nothing) - keep spending, ignore the problem, and leave it to future generations to suffer after the system collapses.  This means establishment politicians don't have to be bearers of bad news and can stay in office.

Option B (Trump/Musk plan) - acknowledge the problem and try to address it before it becomes a catastrophe.  This means making cuts and some pain for society which translate in taking a popularity hit.  Even that is unlikely to save the situation.

Wow, you're even more gullible than I thought.  The cuts are only being made to get rid of programs that the orange felon and his handlers don't personally approve of, and only to make room to give billionaires another $4 trillion in tax cuts.  The debt is not going to go down.

Like I said, if $$/Billions can be spent on Illegal Aliens across the USA, the $$ is there. FIX IT !!

That's a problem that could be fixed real fast with mass deportations.  Unfortunately, that process has been a great disappointment. Homan talks the talk, but he isn't walking the walk.  Fewer deportations so far than even under Old Joe.

a) "illegal aliens" don't get government services

b) Mass deportations cost a lot of money too

Let stop pretending it's about the money.

How can you be so right about our current political situation but so wrong about the JFK assassination, Iacoletti?

I could ask you the same question..

Texas and New Mexico are big states.  The measles outbreaks are in the northern part of the state far from the border.  You ain't from around here, are you boy?

It is when you're just exploiting him for a photo-op right before you cut funding for cancer research.

Really?  Exactly what is the mileage limitation on Measles?

I could ask you the same question.

My answer, unlike yours, would be logical and reasonable.

There must a full moon.  Think about the American public's reaction when they are told that Texas and New Mexico are not border states because they are "big."  HA HA HA.  That's the lengths the woke loons are willing to lie to protect illegals.  That's the reason that Dems are sitting on a 20% approval rating and sinking fast while Trump is in the WH and the Republicans control the House and Senate.  It's music to my ears that Dems learned nothing from their disastrous defeat in 2024.  Woke types are doubling down on those failed polices.  Open the borders, turn a blind eye to tens of thousands of deaths from drugs coming from across the border, turn a blind eye to the criminal gangs, murders, rapes, turn a blind eye to the measles outbreak that originated in border states,  continue to promote men participating in women's sports, snub kids with cancer as "pawns" (someone better tell St. Jude's to cut that out), and promote billions for endless wars.  That's a real winning agenda!

One guy gets it. Bill Maher considers it an honor to have Trump invite him to the White House for a chit-chat. Maher said, "I'm impressed the F**k out of it".  "It's kind of a Nixon-to-China type thing". Some of these people are beginning to have the ether wear off. The Dem  BS: that has surrounded them/deceived them their entire lives is now dissipating due to Trump NOT running away. Trump will Not be intimidated. He does Not have to be "liked" and He does and says what he believes is "Right". And..... he keeps his promises.
