I was driving home early this afternoon listening to the Clay and Buck Show on the radio and they were talking about the evidence being presented at preliminary hearing for Charlie Kirk's accused killer. Somebody called in proclaiming that Tyler Robinson was being set up as a patsy in the murder. He questioned the evidence being presented and claimed it was being falsified, blah, blah, blah. Clay Travis tried to reason with this clown but it wasn't working. First he asked the caller whether he had better credentials to analyze the ballistics than the agents at the FBI and BATFE and the guy immediately tried to deflect. He asked the guy why he thought all the law enforcement agencies would conspire to frame Tyler Robinson. More deflections. The caller claimed there was no way Robinson could have disassembled the rifle quick enough to escape the way he did. Where have we heard that before.

If they just changed the names I would have thought they were talking about the JFKA. In fact when I first turned on the radio and they were talking about the gunshot to the neck, I thought they were talking about the JFKA. It was only after they named the victim and the alleged assailant that I realized what they were talking about. One thing I will gladly wager is that no matter how much evidence is presented that Tyler Robinson committed the crime, there will be those who will refuse to accept that. Leftists will blame those on the right and those on the right will blame leftists and none of them will have any evidence to support their suspicions. Just like the JFKA CTs.

And Putin's professional trolls inflame both sides.

When COVID-19 emerged, I suspected its origin was a lab leak in Wuhan, China. I had a lot of reason, but that's another story.

At one point the Columbia Journalism Review, the industry flag-carrier, called the lab leak narrative a "debunked conspiracy theory." The CT'ers were small and ridiculed band.

Later, the lab leak theory became somewhat accepted as the more-likely explanation of the COVID-19 virus.

Lesson: Some CT's hold water, and some do not.

I suspect Charlie Kirk was murdered by a mentally ill lone nut.

No one disputes that conspiracies do happen. The LN position has always been there is no credible evidence that JFK died as the result of a conspiracy and that all the credible evidence points to Oswald as the lone assassin. So far, the same applies to Tyler Robinson, but that hasn't stopped some from already speculating that he is being framed by the real perpetrators of the murder of Charlie Kirk.

I have no reason to doubt that Tyler Robinson murdered Charlie Kirk. At his trial, he is entitled to a presumption of innocence but since I'm not going to be on his jury, I am not obligated to presume he is innocent any more than I was obligated to give OJ or Oswald a presumption of innocence. Both of them were double murderers and there is zero doubt in my mind about either.

Bullseye. Fauci and crew mocked the argument that COVID-19 came from a lab in Wuhan, and their cheerleaders in most of the legacy news outlets heaped scorn on those who made the argument. Now, as you point out, we know better and have pretty good evidence that the virus did come from the Wuhan lab. A U.S. House select subcommittee concluded that substantial evidence and classified documents indicate the virus escaped from the Wuhan lab.

Exactly: Some conspiracy theories are true; some are plausible but false; and some are just plain nutty. Hundreds of people each year are convicted of conspiracy, and a few of the conspiracies have been somewhat large and elaborate.

It is reaching pretty low and pretty badly to cite some anonymous caller on a radio talk show and to use that as a strawman basis for attacking all conspiracy theories.

And, yes, I think Charlie Kirk was murdered by Tyler Robinson acting alone.

The strawman argument is coming from you. I did not attack all conspiracy theories. I specifically stated, "No one disputes that conspiracies do happen.". Why would you interpret that statement as an attack on all conspiracy theories? My point in starting this thread was to show some people are predisposed to assume conspiracies even when there is no credible evidence of such.
