Why is Walt Brown never mentioned?

How many people here have even heard of Walt Brown? I never see his name mentioned.

After having read most of the CT literature and chalked up the JFKA to “some sort of conspiracy,” I moved on to other things until I visited my then-fiancé in Minsk some 20 years ago. After seeing the “Oswald sights” and learning that her sister and brother-in-law had worked at the radio and TV factory at the same time, I dived back in.

I bought all of Walt Brown’s JFK books on Kindle, including his more than million-word Master Chronology of the JFK Assassination. I read it every morning for what must have been close to a year. Then I moved on to Harvey and Lee because Walt recommended it as a resource. I even exchanged a few emails with him. (The one I didn’t read is Walt’s CT-oriented novel as to what really happened, Treachery in Dallas.)

He was on close terms with Marina. He also worked closely with fabled (very serious and somewhat mysterious) researcher Jay Harrison, who had been with the DPD. When Harrison died in 2005, Walt inherited his massive files. I recall some brouhaha with the JFKA research community wanting Walt to release the Harrison files and Walt being less than cooperative. I don’t know how that ended. I also recall that Walt was having vision problems.

Does anyone know why he and his work never even seem to be mentioned? He was a dyed-in-the-wool CTer and a major player at one time. Is he now some sort of pariah, or has he just faded away? Is he still hording the Harrison files?
