Ed Hoffman - what do people think?

I’ve read his account and tried to place where he was.
I couldn’t find a spot where he could have seen anything.
The freeway seems to be too far away and the view is obscured.

Has anyone looked into this?

I think Hoffman was too far away to see so much detail

Agreed.

I regard his testimony as totally fake.

Please define what you mean by "near". To me, even 300 feet/1 football field is Not "Near".  Hoffman had to be better than a Football Field away from the picket fence/railroad switch box. If you have ever been on a football field, looking from 1 goal line down to the other goal line is a long way to see/distinguish anything in detail. Even Pro Football QB's can Not throw a football from 1 goal line down to the other goal line. The distance is too great.  Hoffman's story has too much detail vs the distance he was from the picket fence/railroad switch boxes.

I think Hoffman was a credible witness. The best book on Hoffman is Casey Quinlan and Brian Edwards' 2016 book Beyond the Fence Line: The Eyewitness Account of Ed Hoffman and the Murder of President Kennedy. Quinlan and Edwards deal with every attack on Hoffman's account.

I think it's possible that Hoffman saw the JFK Limo go underneath his viewing position on the Stemmons Fwy. That could happen. But Hoffman seeing in detail all the way over to the picket fence is a serious stretch.

Thanks for the tip.
I’ve just bought it.

At the moment I don’t believe him, so it will be interesting to see if it changes my mind.
