"I doubt anyone wants to undo this in three years....". Well, every single Dem in Congress just tried to "Undo" the Trump Tax Cuts. TDS knows no limits.

Voting against the larger bill is one thing but if the Dems want to undo the deduction for social security benefits, then they are doomed.  I can't see them leading that charge.

"The large bill" permitted the Dem's to smoke screen their voting against the No Tax On Tips, No SS Tax, etc. Dem's do Not want to cut taxes, they want to Increase Taxes. They want ever more $$ to "move" around. This is why they railed against DOGE. It was finding all kinds of $$ laying around that were simply pay offs. Calif is ripe with this. Like their rail program that has had Fed Billions/$$ poured into it without results. Where'd the Govt $$ go? Nobody knows. This stuff is nothing more than a knock-off of the Tony Soprano No Show Construction Jobs. This is why Calif wants all the Illegal Aliens they can get. These Illegal Aliens inflate the state population which dictates their congressional reps total. This perpetuates the ongoing Graft/$$!

I'm not exactly sure what you want them to "apologize" for?  It sounds like a pretty good deal for seniors.  Certainly better than anything the Dems ever did.  The semantics are less important than the results but even so what you posted is still technically correct.   If you pay $100 in taxes but get $100 in a deduction meaning that it zeros out the taxes, it is the same result as paying no tax.  I doubt anyone wants to undo this in three years given the hue and cry of Dems to protect social security.

For sending out a very misleading notice. Read the parts I underlined. They are misleading as heck. The SS notice does not qualify or try to fully explain these misleading statements. Someone should be held accountable because I believe that this is worse than the media twisting and spinning the news. It is an official government document that is supposed to be accurate and correct. It is not.
