He would need to be found guilty first.

The case never went to trial.

The WC and government failed to convict him in the court of public opinion.

What "purpose" did Pat Hall serve then under the Chapman doctrine?

Lee's discharge was reviewed in 1963 on his request but wasn't changed, he had Marine Reserve obligation that he couldn't fulfill in USSR and a previous notification of his discharge also brought up the point of Lee renouncing his US citizenship, which he didn't accomplish officially.

If proven innocent, Oswald would deserve no reward but his lawyer should supplant Clarence Darrow as being considered the world’s greatest lawyer.
