Ms. Mellen, according to her book, interviewed Dryer, Jr. extensively and attribute him frequently in her book. Here is his obit from 2015, one of the most unusual I?ve ever read.:

Remarkably, Dryer, Jr. came to be testifying in 1977 about DeMohrenschildt because of a tip the HSCA received from James Kelsey Cogswell, III. Among the unusual things about Cogswell was that he was asked
by the HSCA if a photo of D.A. Phillips was the man he knew as ?Bishop,? Cogswell?s cousin, daughter
of his father?s sister, Bianca married Harry Hull during WWII, a guy DeMohrenschildt had roomed with in
D.C. at the home of then US Navy Captain Paul Joaquin, Cogswell lived a mile from Harold Ober?s house in
Scarsdale and Ober was F. Scott Fitzgerald?s only literary agent, and Cogswell in 1943 married Fitzgerald?s close friend, Cornelius Van Ness?s daughter, Nancy, and Ober?s son, CIA agent and Angelton asst. Richard Ober, Cogswell and Katzenbach all attended Phillips Exeter Academy at exactly the same time.

flack. Both men worked for Francis McAdoo, brother of DeMohrenschildt?s aunt by marriage, Nona McAdoo.

You recently linked DeMohrenschildt and Clemard with Joseph Dryer. Consider that my research prompted me to
ask John Mellen, since Dryer's brother and Kenaf biz partner Peter had been a longtime classmate (in a class of
20 boys) of Tom Devine, if Joseph Dryer had mentioned Devine to Joan Mellen.

Ms. Mellen replied that only after her book went to be printed did Dryer share with her that Tom Devine had been
his closest friend in Rochester. Consider that William B Macomer Jr. of Rochester was best man in Devine's 1973
wedding, as well as in the 1946 wedding of Nancy Bush and Alexander Ellis, Macomber's 1942 Yale football teammate.

Mellen wrote in her book, "Our Man in Haiti" that Dryer and Devine met seperately on April 25, 1963 with DeMohrenschildt and Charles. Joseph Dryer claimed he was informed that the secretary accompanying Charles on the trip from Haiti to the U.S. reported to CIA. LINK

The dual meetings in NYC on the same day was just 15 days after the alleged shooting attempt against Gen. Edwin Walker.

LINK In the current Mauser topic thread on this forum, I posted (with supporting docs) in response to an opinion of another poster that Chauncey Holt was the real deal. I shared that a suspected QJWIN identity, Mosez aka Benny Maschkivitzan, of Frankfurt in 1960, was the son, brother, and uncle of two parents, their daughter, and her son, who lived in 1964 in Sherman Oaks, CA, exactly one mile from where Holt described in his book his apartment was located in late 1963.
Ironically, a commenter on jfkfacts.org and on zerohedge (sgt_doom) posted several times that Maschkivitzan was one
of the Three Tramps (the tramp with the turned up collar....)

Richard, From all I've read and tried to gather... and seen in photos... I have concluded that Oswald was possibly the first scenario that the conspirators hoped would go down... If Oswald, for some odd reason, had to be rushed to the hospital at 12:20pm that fateful day, there were other nefarious persons in the area called in by their "bosses" to pin the assassination on... possibly in other locations...
JFK was going down that day... The only question was which scenario of assassination would play out, A, B, C, or D.

Which means, quite possibly there were several rifles around in the area November 22, 1963, and events were fairly well orchestrated and planned out, and to be altered depending on how events developed...

Chauncey Holt's book, "Self-Portrait of a Scoundrel," seems very credible to me. He was one of the three tramps, found in the boxcar behind Dealey Plaza... and is absolutely convinced that Oswald was framed... that other nefarious individuals were called in to be on site (like himself), and that he heard four or five shots fired in about 8 seconds.

He writes:

As I was vaguely instructed to do, I settled in and cautiously waited ?in a support position? for the activities to begin. I was extremely nervous because my instructions were so imprecise. Had I had an inkling of the enormity of what was planned, which I had been unwittingly drawn into, I would have fled the area like a scalded dog. Kennedy was due at the Trade Center at 12:30 and, if on schedule, would be passing Dealey Plaza around 12:25. I had been told, emphatically that the disturbance would develop at either the Dal-Tex Building or the School Book Depository, but that great care would be taken to see that no one in the motorcade or in the crowd was injured. There were many other individuals....

I, and apparently Harrelson and Montoya as well, had been provided with the location of a boxcar, containing weapons and explosives, which the ATF was ostensibly was interested in. If the police swarmed over the area, I was to hide in that boxcar, which would appear from the outside to be locked. I was assured, in any event, that this boxcar would not be searched. If it were searched, I would simply show my credentials. These instructions, apparently, had been given to Montoya and Harrelson, as well. Since I was an all old hand at planning ?black operations,? I should have known there was more to this plot than I had been told. The plans were too meticulous to have involved a mere attempt to create a disturbance. Seriously no offense intended, Roy, but you are falling for the endless misdirection put out there ? first those so-called tramps Harrelson, Holt, etc., next they really are tramps, and on and on.
