Well what is the correct attitude that an innocent person should have when being interrogated for hours and hours without an attorney present?

Oswald was offered legal representation but refused, claiming he wanted a New York lawyer named John Apt.

Oswald apparently answered a lot of general questions and only got angry and stopped talking when the questions became more pointed regarding the events of the day. Tell us why an 'innocent' Oswald should not address those questions.

If you are ever arrested for something, and are truly innocent, I suggest you answer all questions put to you.

Again, the poll didn't happen. The article in my OP is a spoof.
You've been pawned, Waldo. I own you.

I totally own what I posted
The link was with my OP
That link leads to The Onion which is well known for it's satire
You did not realize that and are now trying to save face.

Chappy.....You've established yourself as a not overly bright person.   I doubt that you knew that The Onion was sick satire...  and you certainly didn't announce it in the title of your thread.   Are you related to Rob Caprio?

Wait a minute... I'm the one who's not 'overly bright' yet you need to have to be told when satire is satire by having it announced as such in the title?

LOL

Now that everyone knows  this thread is a joke, perhaps the rest of us whom log into this site, for the purpose of finding the truth, can return to our pursuit without further interruption.

EXTREMELY naive and very bad advice!......    Anybody with an ounce of brains knows his best chances are in  refusing to say anything other than the request for a lawyer.

Every 8 out of 10 suspects being interrogated waive their rights and start yacking away. Once they start talking most just keep going and going. Techniques to identify tells from the suspect are learned through training and experience. If the suspect has cohorts in the crime he or she is arrested for and suspected of committing you can set the time when he or she will identify their partner(s).

Apt?  Yeah, Bill, you really do your research.

Oswald asked for an attorney at the theater, at the midnight press conference, at his arraignment, and at his interrogations, but when Gregory Olds from the ACLU called, Fritz, King, and Johnston all said that Oswald had not made any requests or that he declined counsel.  This was all before the face-saving visit by Louis Nichols.
