Window ledge question
« on: May 01, 2018, 04:14:34 AM »
This Dallas PD report seems to be concerning the Tippit murder. However, at the bottom, there is mention made of a piece of a 30-inch window ledge.  Tippit was shot by the left front tire of his patrol car. What "window ledge" piece would the police be referencing? Or are they referring to a part of the sixth-floor window of the TSBD?

Bruce, the strip of wood was 39 1/2 inches long, not 30 inches. It was the width of the sniper's nest window.

Anyone know what this parcel notice was at Ruth Paine's house 2515 W5th Street dated Wednesday, November 20, 1963? A parcel that may or may not had ever been picked up by Oswald at the post office, as he didn't arrived at the Paines house until Thursday evening, November 21, 1963.

Where does it say the piece of wood was 39 1/2" long?

Nowhere is it specifically stated that the piece of wood was 39 1/2" long. However:
