If JBC was still holding onto his hat in Z-170 thru Z-190, does it "prove" that his wrist wasn't wounded until some point after that?

Did he drop his hat inside the limo, or did they pry it from his paralyzed-and-clamp-like hand at Parkland?

Was there a lot of blood on it?

If so, doesn't it suggest that he continued holding onto it after his wrist was wounded?
