Educating Benjamin Cole is a full-time job.

Benjamin posted the following at the so-called JFK Assassination Debate - Education Forum on 21 October 2025:

My understanding is that DeMohrenschildt said he was asked by a Dallas CIA staffer, J. Walton Moore [of the Domestic Contacts Division], to informally monitor LHO. However, Moore denies that he ever asked that of DeMohrenschildt. I tend to suspect [interesting word choice!] DeMohrenschildt was telling the truth, as otherwise why would the somewhat status-conscious DeMohrenschildt be pals with LHO? On the other hand, there were always questions raised about DeM's true loyalties, and he was seen meeting with a Soviet intel officer.  In 1946, de Mohrenschildt reportedly had contact with Fedor Alekseevich Garanin, a member of the Soviet State Security, according to FBI records from 1964. Maybe DeM. was indirectly working for Bruce Solie? On the other-other hand, maybe DeMohrenschildt was just a decent guy and wanted to help out another Russian, Marina, who was new to the U.S.[/quote]

Maybe, maybe not. Maybe, maybe not . . .

Did you know that -- as revealed by Dick Russell in his 1992 book, The Man Who Knew Too Much -- CIA Counterintelligence analyst Clare Edward Petty determined, by reading some WW II VENONA decrypts in the early 1970s, that DeMohrenschildt was very probably a long-term KGB "illegal"?

1) From Poland or some-such country (Belarus).

2) Arrived in the U.S. before WW II.

3) Lived in Mexico during WW II.

4) A real wheeler-dealer.

I am happy to keep you (un)gainfully employed.

Yes, I am aware that one Clare Edward Petty (three names 1960s-style!) thought DeM. might have been an Iron Curtain asset, possibly into the 1960s.

Maybe DeM. prompted LHO's move to Russia, where the KGB officer in Minsk said that LHO had been an asset. Maybe not.

The same LHO that met with three KGB officials on a Saturday in MC, and with Cubans, and then a couple months later played a role in the JFKA. And a couple months after Castro said what goes around comes around, in relation to assassination attempts.

And after which LBJ told Warren the President wanted no WC results that would trigger a nuke war with Russia. And Hoover and LBJ settled on the LN narrative in 48 hours, maybe less.

And who allegedly called the Soviet Consulate / Embassy in Mexico City on 1 October 1963 and was reminded, over a sure-to-be-tapped-by-CIA phoneline by Kremlin-loyal triple-agent security officer Ivan Obyedkov (whom the CIA mistakenly believed it had successfully recruited), that he had met with (gasp . . . Department 13's(?)) Valery Kostikov a couple of days earlier -- which startling "intel," seven weeks later, forced or "forced" the CIA and LBJ to cover up the putative (or . . . gasp . . . actual?) "KGB connection" to the JFKA.

Regardless, here's a little ditty I wrote at Substack a few months ago:

TO AN AGING EXPAT IN THAILAND . . .

An aging expat in Thailand wrote:

We know how the ‘Deep State’ removes presidents from power. See Nixon, Carter and Trump. They manipulate the media, they manipulate partisan animosities, and they weaponize prosecutorial agencies.

My reply:

Your saying the "Deep State" removed Trump from office is rich given the fact that it was "former" KGB counterintelligence officer Vladimir Putin's hackers and professional St. Petersburg trolls, with help from Julian Assange, Paul Manafort, GRU officer Konstantin Kilimnik, and Oleg Deripaska, et al. ad nauseam -- and with possible help from Roger "I Have A Back Channel To Trump" Stone and Lyndon LaRouche's Harley Schlanger -- who put Trump in the White House in the first place.

There's the real "Deep State" for you.

Unfortunately, it seems as though you (and a large percentage of our population) have been zombified by the KGB’s successful waging of disinformation, "active measures,” and mole-based strategic deception counterintelligence operations against us and our NATO allies for the past sixty-six years.

Factoid: It started in 1959 when the KGB set up top-secret Department D in the First Chief Directorate (today’s SVR) and Department 14 in the Second Chief Directorate (today’s FSB).

"Quaeso me cochleari KGB suffoca."

Loose translation: “Gag me with a KGB spoon.”

This looks like a discussion for the US and International Politics thread...

I said my say on Trump, and he is off topic anyway...
