At the end of WW2 the allies saw the Soviet Union as the next threat to the world. They realized that the S.S and other groups. Had information that be useful to them. They saw it as the lesser of two evils. That is the reason for operation paper clip.

Mark, thank you for your interest and posting.  But I doubt you have read the entire thread here.  What you are stating is the conventional wisdom or propaganda the elite wanted us to believe.  The truth I hope to present here is that the Soviet Union was portrayed as the sole threat from the end of WW1 according to the elite.  A very sizable portion of the elite only wanted its destruction before communism and socialism spread throughout Europe and The United States where it was very popular, and they began creating the Nazi war machine in the 1920's.
Many in the US at the time, including FDR, were supportive of the USSR. During the war FDR considered Joseph Stalin a greater ally than Winston Churchill.  The Soviets defeated the Nazi's, not the US.  By the time US forces landed at Normandy, the war had already been all but won at Stalingrad and Kursk. The true purpose of the delayed landing at Normandy pushed by the elites, was to ensure the Soviets didn't win all of Nazi Europe, to capture and release key Nazi officials and scientists.  If FDR did not die the cold war would never have started and the problems the US faced in the following years would have been greatly diminished if not eliminated.  Try reading the full thread my friend, and then we can talk about specifics.

22 SEPT 1939: The joint #Nazi-#Soviet parade at Brest-Litovsk, after the two regimes collaborated to crush and dismember #Poland, igniting the Second World War.

Soviet officers salute the swastika at same event in Brest-Litovsk

Soviet/Nazi non-aggression pact started World War II, in Europe at least.

Quote
Russia should own up to Stalin-Hitler friendship

On Sept. 17, 1939, the Soviet Union invaded eastern Poland. Germany, which had done the same in the western part of the country two weeks earlier, acquiesced under the terms of a notorious neutrality agreement between Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin that divided parts of eastern Europe into Nazi and Communist spheres of influence.

That?s just history in most of the world, but it?s contemporary politics in some of it. An Associated Press correction last week and reactions to it show that the question of whether the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany were allies at the dawn of World War II remains a hot-button issue for many Russians and eastern Europeans.

The correction was issued to an article about a Holocaust commemoration in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv that originally called the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany ?former allies.? It noted that the two countries signed a non-aggression pact in 1939 that ?paved the way for them to carve up Poland and for the Soviet Union to take the Baltic states of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.?

This is a great post and opens up a lot of intriguing possibilities. Do you have any more information about White Russian activity in the US or USSR?

This needs to be included here too:

If you think you know what's going on, you are probably wrong.  We are brainwashed slaves to the elite.  "During the 1950?s, an estimated 3000 salaried and contract CIA employees were engaged in propaganda efforts." Don't you tend to believe that this number has increased drastically as media has exploded, but is controlled by about 6 corporations?  Since the 1970's, CIA outsourcing has expanded exponentially.  This is one of the reasons, the George H.W. Bush name stands over Langley.  The other is saving the the CIA from the HSCA investigation and saving his own ass in the process.

The following is from ?Mary?s Mosaic? pg. 191-192, by Peter Janney, Skyhorse Publishing Inc.

In 1967, Mary?s prescience - and fear ? about where Cord had been headed would be revealed. Mercifully, she would not be alive to read the article in Ramparts magazine that would expose Cord as the director of the CIA?s notorious Operation Mockingbird, as well as head of the Agency?s secret incursion into the National Student Association. Having infiltrated more than twenty-five newspapers and wire agencies, Operation Mockingbird had successfully manipulated the American media to promote the CIA viewpoint. It had been designed by Dulles prot?g? Frank Wisner in the late 1940?s. Through it, the CIA bought influence at major media outlets by putting reporters on the CIA payroll, and vice versa. During the 1950?s, an estimated 3000 salaried and contract CIA employees were engaged in propaganda efforts. One of the biggest initial supporters was Philip L. Graham, publisher and owner of the Washington Post. Under Cord?s tutelage, Mockingbird became a stunning success. Whenever the CIA wanted a news story slanted in a particular direction, it got it. This amounted to a subversion of democracy?s most precious cornerstone, the free press. Secretly controlling the media had proven to be one of the CIA?s most powerful tools. The Agency didn?t take kindly to being found out.

The KGB and GRU were (and still are) humanitarian organizations compared to the evil, evil, evil CIA.

(sarcasm)

I've been recently learning that some KGB triple-agents working under-the-radar for the Gehlen Organization, etc, in Germany, were unwittingly taken on by CIA, and they, in turn, may have recruited some American intel-types for the KGB.

Igor Orlov ("Sasha"?) and probable mole George Kisevalter come to mind.
