President Trump has played an estimated 261 rounds of golf while President. About 50 times a year.

Why is it necessary to build a Golden Ballroom, that dwarfs the White House, so he can be safe, what 4 times a year? 8 times a year? While attending a ball.

While Trump continues, 50 times a year, going around a golf course?

Protection at a Washington Hotel is a piece of cake compared to protection at a golf course. At a hotel, metal protectors can be set up. There can be several layers of protections set up. The President is not constantly moving out in the open where protection has to be constantly moving with him.

The only reason a gunman did not get off a rifle shot at Trump in the summer of 2024 was because the gunman left his rifle laying against a fence in full view. Without that, the protection was not several layers of protection, but one Secret Service Agent travelling ahead of the President and alertly spotting the rifle. Minimum precautions would have foiled the efforts of a dozen Secret Service agents.

Finally, we agree on something. It looked like a 1970s-era washed out made-for-TV movie, now on YouTube, except worse.

You can't even call that a security camera, as who could be ID'ed in that blur.

Web-cams are literally a few bucks to install now.

Over at (dis)Education Forum, they are calling Trump a "stochastic terrorist" who incites violence.

Get it? Trump is responsible....

News flash:

He does.

It's one of the reasons "former" KGB counterintelligence officer Vladimir Putin installed him as our "president" on 20 January 2017.

50 times a year is only once a week. Did you have a problem with Obama playing golf? Or Clinton.

The ballroom will allow future presidents to host state dinners and other large events in a proper venue. The current ballroom inside the White House is a dump compared with the venues our presidents visit when they are being hosted by other countries. It's all about making impressions on foreign leaders.

Your TDS is obvious. Obama played over 40 times a year and nobody cared. A symptom of TDS is that a person will find fault with anything and everything Trump says or does.

There have been 2 attempted presidential assassinations at the Washington Hilton. Only one on a golf course even though our presidents go to golf courses a lot more often than they god to the Washington Hilton.

Trump was not president at the time and the Secret Service under Biden showed a willful indifference to Trump's safety. Their performance during the Butler assassination was appallingly incompetent. The problem is not presidents playing golf. The problem was not having a Secret Service that took their job seriously enough.

Ever since Oswald shot JFK, it has been a top priority of the Secret Service to guard elevated positions within rifle range of the president. Yet the Secret Service in Butler allowed a gunman within 140 yards of Trump to gain access to an elevated position. The head of the Secret Service lost her job over that, as she should have, but more heads should have rolled.
