Twice the 20's is still not very good.

He will need 60 votes (including 7 Dems) to end debate and put it to a vote and then pass the Senate by simple majority.

This aged well.  Trump has won again after Schumer vowed yesterday that he had the votes to shut down the government.  What a humiliation for his party to do such an about face.  He has no choice but to resign in disgrace:

"Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., says he will vote to keep the government open, warning that a shutdown has worse consequences for Americans and would only empower President Donald Trump and Elon Musk further."

So SS was sidetracked into a slush fund then stolen by Joe Biden to pay for wars?

 :D

Where do you think all the social security money went?  It was used as a slush fund by both Republicans and Democrats to pay for wars and pork spending.

"The Government Has Borrowed $1.7 Trillion From The Social Security Trust Fund. The government has borrowed the total value of the Trust Fund to pay for other government spending."

Musk said it was about paying dead people.
Or maybe it was funding "transgender mice"

I don't speak for Musk.  What I was saying is that the money paid into Social Security has been spent for other purposes by the establishment politicians.  They use it as a slush fund for their pet spending projects and endless wars.  That money is gone but the obligations remain.   What is to be done?  Stick your head in the sand and wait for it to collapse or reform the system in which there must be some cutting?

That would be W Bush - he took money primarily for tax cuts  - Much like your Orange Buffoon is doing now

“Next time a Republican tells you that ‘Social Security is broke,’ remind them that Pres. Bush ‘borrowed’ $1.37 trillion of Social Security
surplus revenue to pay for his tax cuts for the rich and his war in Iraq and never paid it back”.

All other funds from SS were invested

There's plenty of $$ being spent on Illegal Aliens = $$ is there.  Stop with the blame game and fix the SS and FEMA issues.
