Right wingers wanted kids in school unmasked with a deadly Delta variant and these are the deadly results thanks to them, especially Ron DeathSantis, the failed Governor of Florida.

Right wingers were railing against New York for the COVID crisis they faced in March and April. New York is the main traveling hub in the United States and also has the largest population, so it was obvious that a virus outbreak would cause many deaths to occur. But that didn't stop right wingers making it political when it never should have been. Let's not forget that former Gov. Andrew Cuomo couldn't get any resources until an emergency was declared and Criminal Donald waited until March 11 until he declared an emergency when he knew since November 2019 that this virus could be catastrophic. By the time the emergency was declared, New York had a full blown disaster and many people were dying. But over a year later, failed Trump stooge Governor Greg Abbott has done everything possible to kill Texans and caused a COVID crisis to occur in his state. Each day there's over 300-400 people dying a day in Texas with over 20,000+ new cases a day. Texas now has more deaths and cases than New York and right wingers now have nothing to say. This is what failed Republican lack of leadership brings you, both disaster and death.

As of today 9/11/21:

Total COVID cases:
TEXAS: 3,823,178
NEW YORK: 2,403,582

Total COVID Deaths
TEXAS: 60,331
NEW YORK: 55,187

323 new deaths in Texas today and Greg Abbott is attacking mask and vaccine mandates which will save lives.

Mississippi teachers beg for help after more than 18,000 students catch COVID-19 in one month: 'At what point do we protect children over the economy?'

More than 18,000 Mississippi students have caught COVID-19 in the first month of the school year.

Teachers told Insider the state of education in Mississippi is a tragedy and they want a mask mandate.

"There is no discussion around at what point do we protect children over the economy," one teacher said.

Esther Newell, a public school teacher in Jackson, Mississippi, said her job is difficult under normal circumstances, but with the Delta variant tearing through Mississippi, "that difficulty has turned to tragedy."

"The schools are chronically underfunded for decades, so I'm concerned about soap in the bathroom," Newell told Insider.

She said she had concerns at "every level" as she prepared for the start of this academic year, especially since Mississippi doesn't have a statewide school mask mandate to protect kids from the coronavirus.

Last month, an eighth-grader at a Mississippi middle school died from COVID-19 just days after Republican Gov. Tate Reeves held a press conference claiming that the virus only causes "sniffles" in children under 18. Reeves speculated that maybe one or two children had died from the virus in the state since the beginning of the pandemic, before state Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs corrected him. To date, seven children have died of COVID-19 in Mississippi.

According to state data, at least 18,825 students have tested positive for COVID-19 within the first month of school and more than 15,000 had to quarantine last week alone.

Only 46% of Mississippians 12 and older, who are eligible to get the coronavirus vaccines, are fully vaccinated — one of the worst vaccination rates in the country.

Several Mississippi teachers told Insider that they want Reeves to issue a mask mandate for public schools, saying they see no other way to avoid disruptions in the learning process and ensure schools can stay open.

So far, Reeves has resisted. At a press conference on August 19, Reeves said reporters in the room who asked about the coronavirus and schools were making masks and vaccines into a political issue to grow their Twitter following.

Reeves' office didn't respond to Insider's multiple requests for comment in time for publication.

"There is no discussion around, at what point do we protect children over the economy," Newell told Insider. "It seems like a question [Reeves] is successfully avoiding, and every level of it is concerning to me."

George Stewart, a middle school Spanish and special intervention teacher in Jackson, said he thinks Reeves understands that masks are effective but is trying to play to a small political base that opposes them.

"He said he's not playing to no damn political agenda, but in my opinion, he's playing to a political agenda," Stewart said.

Hannah Gadd Ardrey, who was Mississippi's Teacher of the Year in 2020, is the choir director at a high school in northern Mississippi. While she said her school district has its own mask mandate in place, she's afraid that the local school board could overturn it.

"We definitely make sure we're socially distanced," she told Insider. "We always wear masks whenever we sing, but every 10 minutes we let them go outside or spread out and take a mask break so no one gets light-headed."

Ardrey said she wished the governor would "take a second look at the science, look at the numbers, and see that Mississippi students need to be safe."

"Silence and compliance is worse than anything when you're a leader," she said.

Teachers said kids don't mind wearing masks but social distancing is hard with class sizes over 30

Newell is a theater teacher at Jackson's Ida B. Wells Academic and Performing Arts Complex, a public art school that takes in students from surrounding high schools and middle schools throughout the day.

She said teachers at the school receive a "no admit" list of students who are not allowed to come onto campus each week. But Newell said there's been "no efficient or clear communication" informing teachers which of those students may have tested positive for COVID-19.

A spokesperson for the Jackson Public School District told Insider that it notifies teachers when a student tests positive for COVID-19 so they can assist with contact tracing.

"The breakdown in communication that I've been experiencing, I've also heard other teachers in different districts tell me similar stories of how their administration is being very unclear and not really listening to teacher's voices," Newell said.

Stewart, who is also the president of the Jackson Association of Educators, said teachers in the area also are concerned that they won't be able to social-distance enough in their classroom to keep students from spreading the virus to each other.

"The class size hasn't changed, so you're still talking about 30+ kids in a classroom with no ability to social distance," Stewart said.

He cited the example of an autistic student in his school district who has difficulty wearing masks. It's important that other children wear masks to protect such vulnerable students, Stewart said, and in his experience they're generally willing to do so.

"We have students who, from time to time, want to pull their masks down for whatever reason," Stewart said. "But I think the fact that I haven't heard of any case of a child here having to be quarantined speaks to the vigilance of the educators and staff here."

Ardrey said her students were also willing to wear masks because they didn't want to put other people around them at risk of catching the virus.

"Students are trying their best to make it work," Ardrey said. "People like to put on a front that they've kind of got it figured out, but really we don't. We are just trying to do our very best every day."

Cases are up 300% under Biden from this time last year.  Even with the vaccine widely available.  Like everything else that Biden has touched, it is a complete disaster.  He has chosen to politicize masks and vaccines and vilify those who are skeptical.  Instead of reaching out to those reluctant to be vaccinated, he has instead decided to force it upon them.  Thereby ensuring that they will harden in their position. Mandates will be tied up in courts for years to come.  It is clear that he is not interested in results but using the pandemic for political purposes.  It worked to get him elected and with everything else under his administration in a death spiral it is the only trick left in his bag. The Dems are praying for the red wave in 2022 so that all these disasters can be blamed on the republicans.

You are in the grip of "TBS," Trump BullS*** Syndrome.

Covid-19 cases are up where they would be expected to be, Delta mutation is much more contagious than the mutation you are comparing, and cases are expected to be up in flyover states because logic "flies over" residents of all races in those states.

100% false.

President Biden entered office with the worst health and economic crisis in American history. On day one, he got to work ordering millions of doses of vaccines for ALL Americans which Criminal Donald refused to do. He made getting a vaccine easy and accessible for every county in every state. 4 million shots per day was a record number and cases and deaths were at an all time low. Medical experts warned that unvaccinated people will suffer mass infection and death if they don't get vaccinated. And that's what we are seeing today with right wingers dying in mass numbers because they choose to listen to false right wing propaganda.

President Biden has done all he could to make the case to get vaccinated and people are still refusing. As a result children are dying, hospitals are maxed out and doctors/nurses are overwhelmed. President Biden never politicized anything because a virus is not political. The right wing media and right wing Republicans have politicized masks and vaccines right out of the gate. They turned the narrative into a "freedom issue" instead of the health crisis that it is.

The fact is over 81 million people voted for President Biden to end this pandemic and the overwhelming majority of Americans support vaccine mandates because we want life to return to normal. That is exactly what the President is doing. What the American people want. As long as right wingers refuse to get vaccinated we will no longer have our freedoms to live a normal virus free life.

"Praying for a red wave"? :D. Where do you come up with this stuff?

Sorry, mandates will not be "tied up in courts" because the Supreme Court already ruled in 1905 that vaccine mandates are perfectly constitutional with the Jacobson v Massachusetts ruling and that sets precedent for future mandates. In that ruling it says "one man's liberty cannot deprive his neighbors of their own liberty" — in this case by allowing the spread of disease. The court’s ruling makes clear that a community in danger has every right to protect itself. This is what elected officials are supposed to do but right wingers refuse to protect the community at large and President Biden is stepping in. American citizens have the right and freedom to live free from an infectious disease and these anti vaxxers are infringing upon our rights as they claim they have the "freedom" to kill others with a deadly virus. That ruling was 7-2 so right wing Governors have no leg to stand on which is why they are outraged.

Why do Republicans and anti vaxxers insist on killing innocent children? They whine about a fetus in the womb but have no regard for living breathing humans. What an absolute disgrace. Republicans are not pro life. This is why we need vaccine mandates to protect children's lives.

4-year-old girl dies from COVID-19 hours after developing symptoms -- now mom regrets being anti-vaxx

A Texas preschooler died from COVID-19 just hours after first showing symptoms.

The girl's mother, Karra Harwood, was diagnosed Monday with the coronavirus and isolated from her children, including 4-year-old daughter Kali Cook, but the girl developed a fever around 2 a.m. Tuesday, which her family gave her medicine to relieve, and she died in her sleep before 7 a.m., reported The (Galveston County) Daily News.

"She was so funny and sassy," Harwood said. "She wasn't your average little girl. She'd rather play with worms and frogs than wear bows. She was just so pretty and full of life."

"I would rather her be a name than just a little girl," she added, sobbing. "She was beautiful."

Kali never tested positive for the virus, but an autopsy revealed she had died from a COVID-19 infection, and her mother said she'd never been diagnosed with an immune disorder or other health conditions, although she tended to get sicker than her siblings.

"We are all so broken and lost and just trying to figure out how we are gonna get through this life without her light. Our family has covid and is out of work due to it , so we are overly stressed and hurting. Anything will help and kali would be so thankful to rest in comfort and wait to see us all again," the family wrote in a GoFundMe campaign.

"This is a terrible thing, but I think people need to know about it," said the county's local health authority, Philip Keiser.

Children don't usually experience serious symptoms, but Keiser said those who show any symptoms should receive medical care as soon as possible.

"It's very important, if your kids are sick, not to say, 'Oh, they're going to be okay,'" Keiser said. "If your kids are sick, go seek out medical care."

Kali was last at her preschool on Sept. 1, nearly a week before she died, and contact tracing showed no children or adults who had come into close contact with her has tested positive for the virus.

The girl was too young to be eligible for vaccines, and Kali's mother said she regrets not being among the 60 percent of the county's eligible residents to get vaccinated.

"I was one of the people that was anti, I was against it," Harwood said. "Now, I wish I never was."

The main thing we need to be concerned about is having this Delta variant mutating into a more deadly variant where the vaccine will no longer be able to protect vaccinated Americans. The Delta Variant is a new version of the original COVID virus and as along as red states are heavily infected there's a good chance that will happen. Then everybody's life will be at risk. We can't allow anti vaxxers to commit murder and put the entire country at risk. That's why vaccine mandates are necessary and if they refuse to comply, they need to be banned from entering any public places without proper identification showing they have been vaccinated. This isn't being done for fun, this is serious business. We can't allow a minority of the population to destroy the majority with a deadly virus that can be prevented with a vaccination.

COVID ravages the Republican Party as 21 out of 23 most infected states voted for Trump

Last week, the hashtag "GOPDeathCult" was trending on social media as Republican governors continued to refuse to take precautions to keep their states safe. The recent COVID-19 numbers now show that out of the 23 worst states for the virus in the country, 21 of them voted for Donald Trump in the last election.

The Washington Post revealed that of the 23 states in the country exceeds the national COVID average, and all but two of those are from Republican states.

"This isn't a game," President Joe Biden said Friday about governors who aren't taking the pandemic seriously.

Sadly, the same high numbers for COVID cases apply to COVID deaths. Of the 18 states that have higher death rates than the national average, 14 voted for Trump. For vaccinations, the statistic shows the 17 least-vaccinated states (except for Georgia) voted for Trump.

The chain of correlation makes it "much harder to assert that politics is not playing a role," wrote the Post's correspondent Philip Bump.

"Republicans have been less concerned about the virus, less likely to embrace practices such as masking, more likely to express opposition to vaccination and (obviously) voted more heavily for Trump," said Bump. "States that are seeing the most new cases and deaths are states that are less heavily vaccinated and were more supportive of Trump last year."

There are still many Republicans who say that they will never get the vaccine, which could lead to further red-state infections and deaths. Those who haven't been vaccinated may have survived COVID-19, but given the rapid pace that the virus is evolving, it's possible people could begin getting it again.

What's the connection with all these states below? All of them are red states except for Arizona and Georgia. All of these states have Republican Governors who are Trump stooges that banned mask and vaccine mandates. As a result, their states and local communities are under siege with COVID-19. Children are in school unmasked and most of them are becoming infected just as every expert predicted. Hospitals have reached full capacity to where no new patients are able to be treated for other ailments which is resulting in deaths. An Alabama man had a heart attack and was turned away because the hospital was full. He died shortly after. This is going to be a serious problem all across America. That's why President Biden took the initiative to implement vaccine mandates. The only ones who need to be turned away are the anti vaxxers who don't care if they get covid. They shouldn't be taking up hospital beds for people who actually need them. Their refusal to get vaccinated is resulting in mass death, infection, filling up our hospitals, and killing innocent people. They know the risks involved but want to be defiant instead trying to "own the libs". They don't deserve medical care when they don't care about spreading a virus. Let them eat horse paste instead. They refuse the vaccine but then beg for it as they take their last dying breaths. This is insane. All they had to do was get vaccinated in the first place and this all would have been avoided.
