Check out the postmark on this envelope. It appears to be dated Nov 2nd which is a full week before the Nov 9th date which appears on the actual letter itself inside the envelope. How could this be?

November 11th was Veteran's Day which Oswald spent at the Paine home. Ruth Paine remembers Oswald writing this letter using her typewriter. Could it be the postmark is faulty and means to say Nov 12th (which would have been the Tuesday) rather than Nov 2nd?

Is there a "1" missing before the "2"? Check out the "1" in the "1963". Its quiet faint.

I can't see it but I guess the only other way to tell is to find other clearer Irving postmarks and compare the spacing of when they used single and double digit numbers and make a comparison and I'm pretty sure that in the volumes you may be able to find other envelopes with the above criteria.
