The United States is 7th in the world in per capita deaths from Covid19.
That's out of 180 countries listed on the chart I found. Your mileage may vary.
Odd, that the richest country in the world is far less effective in prevention and management of a pandemic, while the majority of so called " third world" countries are far more successful.

Mr Crow, who lives somewhere " down under" could perhaps chime in as to his country's per capita death rate. ( I believe that AU and NZ had strict lockdowns, mask rules, contact tracing, etc., yes, the gubment done took away their freedoms.)

As a quick comparison, my city to Travis county Texas as they have almost equivalent populations.

Travis county total cases 29073, ours 468. Travis county deaths 420, ours 4.

Our restrictions were not particularly severe. We had no mandatory mask wearing here and it was not prevalent. There were travel restrictions between states and some still exist. Victoria had an outbreak a few months ago and had increased restrictions including masks and curfew. Their total cases now down to less than 20 daily. Kids have generally been back at schools for months. Apart from travel restrictions and a bit of voluntary social distancing life pretty much normal for a few months here.

So you can have an abortion or go to Walmart but can't vote or go to work, school, or church.  Got it.  The point is obvious.

It certainly is. The point is that Strawman “Smith” also makes false equivalencies. Here’s a hint: large groups of people congregating in close proximity for long periods of time.

Quote
You can't change the rules at the last minute in a nationwide election to impact potentially millions of votes.  That will create chaos.

Says who? Trump? He creates chaos just by opening his mouth.

Quote
Ballots will be challenged by both side.  Courts in different places will create different standards subject to endless appeals from both sides.

States have always had the ability to have different rules and standards. Some states do all their voting by mail, and have been for a long time.

Quote
This doesn't just affect Trump.  It will affect any democrat that is elected by casting doubt on the process and undermining the legitimacy of their presidency.

The only ones casting doubt are Trump and his sycophants, because they know they’re losing.

So let people vote the same way they go to the grocery store.

 :D

You do realize that a lot of people do their shopping by mail, right?

Sure hope that if Trump wins that some of the JFK forum members will not have a total meltdown and become stark raving lunatics , as some of them may be CT and that would fuel LN theories that CT were already mad before there ever was TDS:)

I think Paul's initial hypothesis has been soundly refuted by the various contributions by members across the JFK spectrum. I can assure you that should Trump win it will have no effect on my current view on JFK and his demise.

You still haven't explained what changes were made or what rules were changed. Understandable because you can't. What it really comes down to is that Trump and idiots like you just don't like the existing laws.

When something is allowed by law, there are no changes. Just compliance with and application of existing law. You don't like that? Change the law... but stop whining. It's pathetic.

Is this above your head?

Btw, have you figured out why so many Republican Governors are on your list of so-called "changes"? They really must dislike Trump, don't you think?

Huh?  I knew you were a kook but this one is gold:  "When something is allowed by law, there are no changes."  HA HA HA.  So when the law is changed, there is no change because it is allowed by the law!  Wow.  No wonder you are a CTer.  That is the most tortured logic that I can ever recall this side of 1984.  And no one said that only Dems were changing the rules you dishonest fool.  The point is that in the weeks leading up to the election that the rules are being changed in a way that will affect millions of votes.  There is no universal standard for these changes. Every state that has changed the rules - repub or dem - will interpret and apply different standards potentially resulting in chaos.  And what is the definition of a repub or dem state in this context? For example, there are some states with repub governors, dem majority legislators, and biased one way or the other judicial branches.  And there is no need to create this uncertainty.  If Old Joe is so far ahead in the polls and certain of winning, then why create a situation in which the validity of the election will be disputed by this chaos?  Who will count these millions of mail in ballots?  How long will it take to count, recount, and challenge all these ballots?   Look what happened in Iowa.  Total chaos.  All of which is unnecessary.  Whoever wins - whether Old Joe or Trump - will be under a cloud due to this stupidity.

It's way too late for that.  LOL.  If Hiden wins a fair election, I wish him all the best.  Any American citizen should at least hope that whomever becomes the President does a great job because we all benefit.  I would never hope that Hiden fails simply because I have a different political philosophy. I thought Obama was a decent and intelligent person.  Just someone who couldn't get much done and what little he did get done, I disagreed with.  But I never hated him or filled my days ranting that he was the devil like some type of mental case because he had different views.  The Trump haters, however, have a kamikaze mentality.  Their sole objective is his destruction. They hope everything goes to hell because it lends support to their hate filled beliefs.  If people die because of the virus, all the better in their opinion.  They can blame Trump.  If they insist the economy be shutdown for months, and then Trump does that, then blame Trump for the unemployment and economic harm.  btw: how many dems are calling for a shutdown now if it was so effective?  The virus is still around.  How about no one.  It was a failure that actually caused more harm than good and no one would repeat that strategy.  Even the dems realize that was a disaster.
