New NHK Documentary on the JFK Assassination

Japan's national news network, NHK, has produced an interesting new documentary on the JFK assassination: Unsolved Cases: Oswald and JFK. It has two parts. Part 1 is available for free online viewing. (Part 2 should be available in a few days.) Among other things, Part 1 explores Oswald's time in Japan and his contact with U.S. intelligence agent Richard Case Nagell there. Part 1 also examines evidence of Oswald's intelligence ties in the U.S., and it looks at internal CIA documents that show that elements of the CIA were acting without JFK's authorization and were seeking to sabotage key elements of his foreign policy. Here is the link to Part 1:

I should add that Part 2 aired yesterday on NHK, so Part 2 should be available for viewing on the NHK website in a day or two. Part 2 is really the meat of the documentary, although Part 1 is definitely worth watching. Part 2 includes former CIA officers explaining how Oswald would have been approached and recruited. It also has a good segment on the evidence that Oswald was not on the sixth floor of the Book Depository during the shooting.

Incidentally, the NHK channel in America is an English-language channel. The documentary is in English. If you have Verizon Fios TV, NHK is channel 480.

I assume you’re the same Michael T. Griffith that had posted communication with a doctor, who said, as I recall, that he was doubtful that a human would experience a “neuromuscular spasm”, also known as a “neurological spasm”, hence, in his opinion, this could not explain JFK’s head moving backwards during z-313 through z-318. This was curious because this was the only case I ever heard of where a doctor did not believe that this could happen. Not even Dr. Cyril Wecht ever claimed, so far as I know, that this neuromuscular spasm could not have happened. It was also curious because film of a goat being shot through the brain seem to clearly show that such a spasm can occur as a result of a shot through the brain. And it was also curious because, the communication that the doctor gave, showed no indication that he was even aware of the film of the goat reacting from being shot through the brain. And most curious of all, all references to this have seemed to have been removed from your website and from the internet.

This communication with this doctor had been, until fairly recently, the main basis of CTers on this board saying the “neuromuscular spasm” was not possible.

Questions:

What happened to this article on the doctor’s opinion that you made available on the internet?

Why was this article removed?

Dear Mike,

Does it also explain how U-2-monitoring radar operator Oswald might have been approached by the GRU or the KGB in Japan?

Do you believe Oswald's explanation to Richard Case Nagell ... "I just wanted to find out the value of some Japanese coins" ... for his ducking into the Soviet embassy in Tokyo?

Do you think it's possible that ONI-CIA gave Oswald some pocket money with instructions to infiltrate or possibly even naively help "former" Communist Harold Isacc's "Aparatus" in Japan, but was compromised and "flipped" figuratively and maybe even literally!!!) by the beautiful Japanese bar girl he "fell in love with"?

9 minutes in on part 1 of that documentary, one of Oswalds former marines says Oswald took a photo of the u-2 as it came in on the landing strip.

Never heard that before. Is this documentary the only source for this claim?

Quote
6 months before JFK was killed, Lee Harvey Oswald attempted a separate assassination. Our coverage reveals the possibility that this attempt served as a focal point that linked Oswald to the JFK killing. The day of that killing, Oswald brought a rifle into a Dallas building. The US government report says 3 shots from that building killed JFK, but we take a new look at witness testimony and speak to 66 prominent campaigners to ask: was the assassination really the work of a "lone wolf"?
".. this attempt served as a focal point that linked Oswald to the JFK killing."
The laughs on them [whoever they are]
The Walker incident wasn't revealed until long after Oswald had already been fingered as the assassin.

I don't see a problem here. As soon as the Walker shooting came to light, lone-gunman theorists began to cite it to prove Oswald's alleged propensity for violence and his willingness to shoot someone with a rifle. Just about every pro-WC book every written has cited the Walker shooting as evidence of Oswald's alleged guilt.

All this being said, the documentary does make a few incorrect statements, but it also presents a lot of valuable information.
