A lot has change since WWII. NATO has enough firepower to resist the old Soviet Union in an invasion scenario.

No need anymore to have America part of NATO, especially an America led by Trump and the GOP as it has become. Keep calling it NATO because Canada would still be it. Could still maintain ally obligations between NATO and the USA, or let America go its own way, which it seems to want to do.

Incredible they should nitpick over NATO contributions considering the profits made by America in military sales to Europe during the World Wars and Cold War. Must be a "thing" on Fox News.

Hi Jack,

How ya doing?

What the hell do you want? Did you want me to explain to you and Trump again how NATO works because you 2 don't seem to have a fricken clue? Trump originally thought (and may still think) that NATO members paid their fair share into a war chest that everyone could dip into in lieu of a war or invasion. Otherwise, why would Trump care whether other countries spent 2% of their GDP toward their own defense? Is it because of item #4 on Putin's bucket list is to have Trump destroy NATO, which he claims is "obsolete"? What would Ukraine do without NATO? Ans: it would be part of Putin's restored Soviet Union.

You probably also believe, like the "Tariff King" Trumpty Dumpty that China is paying billions upon billions of dollars from the tariffs imposed on them. Trump is either a moron and doesn't know what a tariff is or he's just bullshitting to his moronic base. Since Trump alleges to have an MBA from Wharton business school and finished 1st in his class (both of which are more bullshit) Trump must know what a tariff is so he's just lying to defend his ridiculous trade war with China. Trump does have an undergrad degree from Wharton and not an MBA and he was never mentioned at his commencement so he wasn't among the top 56 honorees in his class of 366. He is probably so low on the list that he sent Cohen to Wharton to threaten them with legal action if they ever released his transcripts. And he wasn't polite about it.

So to ans your question, howzit hangin? Ans: Long and loose and ready for use. How about you?

Some of you Fail to understand Trump. He could care less if the US belongs to NATO. Though he publicly denies it, everything Trump has accomplished points toward a goal of Isolation if necessary. (1) Building the military back up to #1 in the World, (2) Energy Independence,  (3) Securing the boarders/ The Wall, (4) Resume US Manufacturing of Steel/Aluminum HERE in the U.S. (5) US Economic Growth = Foreign dependence on U.S. Market. Trump has always preached that in order to conduct Any negotiation you have to be willing and in a position to walk away from the table if necessary. He is doing that currently with the ongoing China Trade Negotiations. Trump is the Only POTUS that has had the cajones to take on China. He does this due to the U.S. strengths listed above. He also could walk away from NATO in a heartbeat and not think twice as to the possible ramifications for the U.S. There are NONE.  Regarding arms sales to Europe, whether in our out of NATO the US still makes the absolute best weapons of mass destruction in the World due to having done this for a very long time.  Whether the US was in or out of NATO foreign countries would still be knocking down the doors to purchase US made weapons.

I certainly do Not employ the slanders used by those within the circle you frequent. The Issues, The Economy, along with the Promises he has kept = a Trump 2020 re-election.

Royell, was Trump's call perfect or was this actually a scheme, months in the making involving Trump, Giuliani, Parnas, Fruman, Nunes, Perry, Pompeo and Mulvaney to extort Zelensky into announcing an investigation into the Bidens? How deep does your rabbit hole go?

I have watched a lot of Trump rallies. I have heard him mention going to Wharton Business School.  NEVER have I heard claim to have graduated "1st in his class".  You're babbling on and on is a symptom of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Hopefully, its' the early stages and you can still get some help. Don't wait too long. Trump winning in 2020 will probably do you in.

Have you not heard Zelensky himself DENY being "extorted" or pressured or being quid pro quo'd?  You want to ignore the obvious because it exposes the Dem's.   No Case, All Hate.

:D What the hell do you think Zelensky was going to say? He's the extortee. Besides, have you heard his most recent statement? Why don't you believe Sondland and Mulvaney that it definitely was a quid pro quo? They confessed for cripe sakes! Or is that Fake News? And what about the phantom phone call that Trump claims he had with Sondland re Zelensky that there is no record of? You know, the call that Trump read from a note pad that he scribbled down with a sharpee:

And Europe could care less. With Trump in, they want the US out.

It's always been No.1. Not No.1 in terms of morality or honor, but No.1 in terms of raw firepower.

Paper dependence. The US choose to maintain about ten-percent imports for oil so domestic producers could charge the world price.

Already pretty good. Reducing the demand for hard drugs in the US itself would basically end the most-violent border crossers.

American union-made steel and aluminum. Goodbye American lifestyle and purchasing power. No Yukons and Navigators for you.

US growth depends on cheap imports and high-cost exports. Foreign producers now have a global market, not just the US.

If Trump said screw a hooker while your wife's on the nest, would you? Of course you would.

Goodbye! (Trade negotiations used to be about diplomacy and friendship; but that only only resulted in the greatest period of well-off people and peace so why do it that way).

Are you going to throw out your dirt-cheap air conditioners and 50" LCD-TVs?

Right. And there's none (or a possible gain) if the US leaves NATO. Bye!

World's largest arm dealer: Russia  USA

Largest exporter of terror: Iran  USA

Not sure Exactly what your point is amidst all the rambling above.  Here we are in the middle of a trade war with China and last Qtr still managed to hit 2.1. The Trump economy is the envy of the World. If Pelosi would get off the dime and pass the New Nafta, the US economy would be further goosed during Trump's bringing China down to its' knees. Not only do you Not understand Trump, you have no idea as to the strength of the hand the US is holding. All in only 3+ years of Trump. The next 5 years will see the US back where it belongs dealing the cards.

OK. So the Key Witness exonerates Trump and You immediately want to disregard his testimony. You just DQ'd yourself from being on the jury. Please STEP DOWN

Great post, Jack!

Ukraine still needs our assistance and must be very politic with the Extorter In Chief for at least the next eleven months.
