The reason I'm asking is this.  When I was a kid in the 60's the two banks in our small town were always busy
on Friday afternoons because many workers would get their checks on that day.  They'd punch in or out, for that matter,
and the payroll guy would give them their check for last week's work or a supervisor would go around, usually in the
morning, and give it to them then.  And as far as Oswald is concerned?  Did he and Frazier get their checks on Thursday
and Oswald cashed it then before he went home?  Was it left at the TBSD on Friday?  Could it have been cashed that day?
It certainly wasn't on his person when captured or the cash amount for that matter,  given his check should have been
more than 13 some odd dollars.  Just wondering which side of the fence it would support if LHO was indeed given his check
on Friday morning?  Cashed?  When?  If received, did he rip it up?

His final paycheck was made out to his wife on Dec 3.

From recollection only, paid weekly and was paid for the morning of the 22nd.

An interesting thought experiment for us all. If Oswald planned to shoot JFK on the 22nd, had he planned at all for events after the shooting? His possibilities providing he went along with such a plan were;

A) did not survive......killed in the attempt.....no need for money at all.

B) captured and not killed.....no need for money at all.

C) escape and on the run......as much money as possible.

Alternatively he did not shoot that day......needs some money to live until next seeing Marina (who had most of the cash).

D) enough money to cover rent and living for a while, maybe a week.

Anyone keen to debate?

Thanks for the quick response, Sean.  Dec 03, 63 was a Tuesday.  If that was a standard issue check
then the expression - Good Friday - which had nothing to do with religion - didn't apply to the TSBD.
Unless, if Thanksgiving was on Nov 28 in 1963 and Friday was also a non working day - then everything
would have been pushed back.

Hey, Colin.  That's exactly what I was thinking.  If - and this is a big - IF - he was given his check on that Friday morning
then, there could be differing scenarios which could have played out.  Everything from an alibi to being a cold blooded killer.

Another point to consider along these lines is Oswald's movements on the night of Wednesday the 20th. He was in the laundromat across the road from the rooming house until being asked to leave after midnight. If he decided to go to see Marina the next day why the need to do this? Marina normally did his washing. Also no mention by Frazier of any washing packages normally carried by Oswald in their rides together.

Hey, Colin.  Actually, there is a logic as to why he did his own laundry on Wed night from the LN's POV.
If his whole purpose to go home on Thursday was to reconcile with his wife then he may have considered
washing his own dirty underwear for a change could have been a good gesture on his part.  Of course,
if no reconciliation was possible he'd do the next best thing and blow JFK's head off.  That'll teach her, she
won't divorce me now ... if I live.

Maybe he thought it gave him the best chance to "get lucky" with her for the last time. He must have thought of it late though, likely some time after 11pm.
