Hello, everyone. My son recently moved to Austin and plan to visit him soon. It's pretty close to Dallas and I was thinking of taking the opportunity to visit Dealy Plaza and the Museum. Could any of you who have visited recommend any good restaurants near Dealy Plaza? Thanks in advance.

The very earliest alerts that were issued by the DPD radio dispatcher did NOT mention the Texas Shool Book Depository, or the DalTex Building....

The Dispatcher alerted the units that the suspect had fired from "the old purse factory"....  That building was east of the Daltex building on Elm street.....  A couple of police units closed in on the old purse factory and requested back up.   I've often wondered if the mauser the Seymour Weitzman examined was found in or near the old purse factory.
Not quite. CE Talbert, not the dispatcher, brought up the "purse company" at about 12:49.  Talbert had just arrived at the scene when he called the purse company thing in, so he simply may not have been acting on good or complete information at the time. Haygood had already said on channel 2 at 12:35 that he had a witness that the shots came from the TSBD. About a minute later, Harkness reported a witness (who might have been the same as Haygood's) who said the shots came from the TSBD. The Haygood transmission is the first time that any building is identified as a source of the shots.

Anybody know who occupies the Dal Tex building at present?

I'm goofing on ya
I call Oswald 'Dirty Harvey'

Dirty Harry: "Smith, Wesson... and me"
Dirty Harvey: Smith, Wesson... and Lee.

A perfect description, if I do say so myself.
I especially like the Occam's Razor treatment
Lee Harvey Occam-Oswald? Fits like a glove.

The hits just keep on comin'

Ah, yes. Very clever. So Harvey's is OK then. I can take the family and grandkids.

You're going to take them to a hamburger joint? Surely you jest.

If you're unfortunate enough to be a CTer (in a wasting-your-entire-life sense), and especially if you're brainwashing your kids about the assassination, you might want to consider a picnic at Dead Harvey's gravesite in Fort Worth. But watch out for CT forum members if you aren't a CTer and are actually sane. You can recognize them by their zombie-like appearance. They want to eat your brain since they lack one themselves.
