At 22 minutes 40 seconds in on the above video, Fred Litwin spends 3 minutes making an interesting point regarding a long-held myth about Helen Markham's credibility at the DPD line-up.
When shown the line-up which included Oswald, Markham said she didn't recognise anyone. Researchers have used this as evidence over the years that Oswald was not the Tippit gunman.
Litwin however points out that this was likely just a case of Markham misunderstanding the situation whereby she may have thought she was being asked if she knew any of the men before Nov 22nd 1963, which of course she didn't.
Don't know if Litwin came up with this theory himself or got it from another researcher over the years but I think the theory seems quiet plausible.
After all, if Markham was a confused witness as many JFKA researchers suggest, then wouldn't this make her equally confused enough to think she was being asked if she knew any of the men in the line-up prior to Nov 22nd 1963, to which she would naturally exclaim no, that she knew nobody in the line-up.
