A former aide to Jim Garrison who realized that the investigation was a fraud.
Garrison wanted him to beat up Walter Sheridan, who was in New Orleans making a documentary about the Garrison investigation.

Gurvich testified to the Grand Jury twice and brought nothing.

What was there to bring to a garrison grand jury?

:D - ...and therefore had nothing.
Q. An illegal act, that is important. Give us one fact, you are supposed to be an investigator.
You have not given us one single fact. I am trying to lay it on the line. You go around and say what all these
people are saying - that is unimportant. I think every one of the Jury are thinking what I am telling you and I think
I am speaking for all of them when I say you don't have nothing. You haven't given us one thing to go on.
______________
Q. We would like to have you tell us today, we would like to know about this browbeating. Who did he browbeat?
Who did the browbeating? Give us the names of the people who were browbeat?
A. I don't remember at this time.

You expect Gurvich to talk about this to a garrison grand jury. He had to be very careful because he knew
that Garrison used to charge people with perjury just to get at them.

BS: "You haven't given us one thing to go on."

Of course, Gurvich realized it was all a sham -- a setup for him to be charged with perjury.

:D could've, should've, would've just told the truth.
If he had it he would have brought it.

Probably most people have seen this excellent CBS takedown of Garrison, based on Patricia Lambert's book, but I came across it while reviewing my old "Conspiracy Game" thread at the Ed Forum. How on earth anyone - looking at you, Jim DiEugenio - retains any enthusiasm for Garrison is completely beyond me.
