I think it is November 22, 1963. Or it could be the next day. The officer is Sgt. Robert E. Dugger. This audio is available online for the first time in 62 years.

Thank you Dennis. I am just about always interested in what people who were actually there have to say. Sgt. Dugger apparently observed some interesting things. And it seems obvious to me that this must have been only a short time after the events.

Nice one Dennis.
It's amazing that interviews like this are emerging so many years after the assassination.
-
Dugger is mentioned in the book The Death of a President.

I have a few more excerpts on my YT channel. In one a reporter says a fuse blew up in his equipment making it impossible to air his live broadcast. Otherwise, he could have recorded the shots.

How many times have I (and I would imagine most others familiar with the assassination) wished that there was a recording available of the sound of the shots?

A.J. L’Hoste of WFAA was right in front of the TSBD 30 minutes before the shots. He changed positions far from the TSBD. He had a camera and an audio recorder with him.

Bummer.

WFAA-Radio reporter Travis Linn told Gerald Posner that he left his audio recorder on a structure in Dealey Plaza while he went to Trade Mart. He bought it back to the station. There were 3 shots on the tape. Linn was lying.

L'Hoste was in front of the TSBD within 2 minutes following the Kill Shot. Mal Couch's WC Testimony details his seeing L'Hoste in front of the TSBD after Couch jumped out of Camera Car #3 and ran back up Elm St to the TSBD. Couch estimated his arriving back at the TSBD about 90 seconds after the Kill Shot. It was then that Couch saw L'Hoste.

Dear Denis,
What did Linn lie about?

Linn didn’t leave an audio recorder in Dealey Plaza when he went to Trade Mart.

Good catch. We have the film of JFK's Limousine that L'Hoste took. He was in front of the restaurant where Helen Markham was scheduled to work a bit later that afternoon. Did L'Hoste take a ride to get to Trade Mart and stopped at Dealey Plaza within 90 seconds? On foot it would hve been impossible to get there in 90 seconds. L'Hoste did not testify.

What about if we add the time it took for the limo to get from in front of the restaurant to Elm Street to the equation? I believe one of the coworkers of LHO (maybe Givens) testified he watched the motorcade on Main Street, then walked back to Elm Street, then heard the shots.

In one of Dick Sprague's collection, a 1967 interview with L'Hoste. He's talking about taking pictures 7 to 8 minutes after the shots.
