Title: Did Oswald wear a watch?
Post by: Michael Welch on October 15, 2023, 11:50:59 PM
Do you think Oswald wore a watch on his left hand to work on November 22, 1963? And do you think it was torn off his wrist at the Texas Theater?

A watch would have been handy for someone who rode the bus in the days before cell phones.   A Benrus wristwatch and Elgin pocket watch that belonged to Oswald was apparently recovered from the Paine home.

From "Marina and Lee": "Marina noticed, out of a corner of her mind, that Alik kept the scar [on his left wrist] hidden. He wore a watch on his left wrist and once, when it was broken, it was months before he would take it to be fixed, Later, when he broke it again, and again had to take it to be fixed, he covered his wrist with an identification bracelet even though he hated jewelry and knew that Marina, too, hated jewelry of any kind on a man."

In the arrest photos he's wearing a bracelet on his left wrist. I wouldn't think he'd wear both a watch and a bracelet on it?

List of items found on him when arrested: https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth340292/m1/1/?q=Lee%20Oswald%20money
No mention of a watch.

Hi Steve, I hope that you are doing well! I did not know this information. Thank you for teaching me! I agree that he would not wear a watch with the bracelet. Thank you for your great help! Sincerely yours, Michael

Much more important than a watch - he had his USMC ring on when he was arrested. This was the so-called crazy kid leftie marxist. Ooops!!

What is so important about that?  Oswald was in the Marines.  He admitted to being a Marxist.  Those are both known facts.  Charles Whitman was in the Marines.  That didn't preclude him from being a nut job who went on a killing rampage.
