Please tell me it was just a news parody that on Canada Day statues of Queen Elizabeth II and Victoria were torn down by mobs, and that Anglican Churches were burned. And that days before Canada Day the federal and provincial governments ordered most public celebrations (including fireworks) be cancelled?

Crowds are still considered hot spots for COVID + Variant spread. At least in Toronto.
