Thanks Charles. I've heard them called Texas Live Oak but was not sure if that's what they really were or if people were just guessing.

Also, does anyone know the species of other trees/bushes in Dealey Plaza? I'd like to add their names to a map of Dealey Plaza i'm creating. For example, what are those trees with the wavey trucks called in this picture (you also see them on the grassy knoll):
