Clear and obvious evidence of conspiracy to cover up the assassination?
Simon Haggo:
What government, after their leader is riddled with bullet holes in a limo in public, quickly scrubs the limo clean and then immediately rebuilds it? Clearly not overly keen to investigate and find out exactly what happened to their leader.
....and then by pure bad luck, the only suspect they have for the crime is swiftly gunned down whilst IN CUSTODY!
....this alone will do for me as a conspiracy to cover it up. No need to even go there with the autopsy.

Good post, Simon. Welcome to the Forum.
Zeon Wasinsky:
You really have only 2 choices:
1. All the obfuscatilon, the unclear or absence of autopsy photos, the rearranging of evidence, the shoddy notes taken by Will Fritz, unable to have lawyer, stenographer, present or find a recorder to tape Oswalds "interrogation" etc, is an indication of conspiracy or at the very least introduces reasonable doubt.
2. All the confusion and anomalous "evidence" like CE 399 is because of complete and utter incompetence of the investigators. And it was a consistent incompetence at every point in time, right up to the failure to provide adequate security for Oswalds transfer which led to his execution in real time, viewed by millions of people.

That's not particularly compelling in light of the actual evidence that links Oswald to this crime. His rifle, bullet casings, prints, lack of alibi, flight, murder of a police officer, numerous lies etc. I agree that some missteps were taken by the authorities out of concern for decorum. They did not want, for example, the press taking pictures of the bloody limo. If there was some evidence in the limo that they were intentionally removing via the "clean up", however, they would have had ample opportunity to do that at any point since the limo was in the custody of the authorities. There would have been no apparent rush to remove evidence at that moment in sight of the press. They take it to the hanger and do so. In a misguided attempt to provide transparency, the DPD also allowed a mass of press to gain access to the areas where Oswald was located at the police station. That created a security risk that eventually afforded Ruby an opportunity to kill Oswald. The irony, however, is that the DPD put Oswald at risk in an attempt to show the world they had nothing to hide. None of that suggests a conspiracy, however. If anything it demonstrates the exact opposite. Allowing the press to have access to Oswald would have been the last thing any conspirators would have done.

Numerous lies? The numerous Police interviews with Oswald in the 2 days he was in custody, weren't recorded. . . ooops!!!! To not record police/fbi interviews of the guy accused of murdering the president doesn't reflect any attempt to provide any transparency whatsoever, quite the opposite - a calculated act to withhold evidence. Why would they do that?
