what does that have to do with what just happened in Tenn?
It's a red state

Every state has leftists in the government and legal system.  It took 30 years to enforce the death penalty.  Then they allowed her to request an all female execution team who botched it.  Unreal.

Has nothing to do with leftists or Democrats. You just made that up.

Capital punishment cases are largely appealed through the federal court system and attorneys have learned how to delay executions not for years but for decades with appeal after appeal. Recent executions have been for murders committed 25 to 30 years ago. That is a ridiculous amount of time. By contrast, Perry Smith and Dick Hickock murdered four members of the Clutter family in November of 1959. They were captured and tried in 1960 and hanged in April of 1965. Five years seems like plenty of time for appeals to be filed and work their way through the appellate courts. Those sentenced to the death penalty should be given one bite of the apple in appealing their sentences. They should be required to file all of their objections to their conviction and sentencing in one appeal. After those appeals are denied, the only grounds for putting off their date with the executioner would be if they can present compelling evidence they were wrongly convicted.

Let's bring back the electric chair, the gas chamber, hangman's noose, or the firing squad. Let each state should choose the method of execution without concern for whether we kill these Barstewards humanely. They never gave their victims that consideration.

The left opposes the death penalty.  Typically, it is leftist judges and organizations that impede the process with countless appeals.  Even in red states such as TN, the legal system includes leftist judges and lawyers who look for any excuse to interfere.  They only have to find one such judge in the multitude of appeals to create delays.   There are leftist organizations dedicated to impeding the death penalty regardless of the circumstances.  They oppose it on moral grounds and undermine the legal process.

OK. Who was the leftist judge(s) and organization(s) that impeded this process?
Or is that just some CT phantom leftest ONLY group you make up - like w/ elections and pandemics?

It took 30 years to go from the crime to her attempted execution (which they botched by allowing a woke request to have an all female team).  What do you think the holdup was?  Do you think conservative republicans were advocating for delay?  You don't think that left wingers are the ones who oppose the death penalty?

"The divide between supporters of the two major political parties shows an erosion of support for the death penalty among Independents and Democrats, but support remains constant among Republicans. According to Gallup’s October 2025 polling, 82% of Republicans favor the death penalty, compared to 47% of Independents, and just 32% of Democrats. These numbers show a 50-point difference in support between the two major political parties."
