I've already synced both channels of the DPD radio transmissions to the films. I'd love to show you a copy of my syncs if possible. I don't really like to distribute my syncs publicly anymore, but shoot me an email and I'll send you a copy.

Syncing the Dictabelt recording to the films is an exercise in futility because the Dictabelt did not record gunshots.

You are correct that they didn't record the shots, but that doesn't mean that syncing the dictabelts to the films is impossible, or useless.

I feel like syncing them is useful because it atleast gives us sound, it's miles better than putting, well, i don't know, random stock sound effects.
