I am in the "small CT" camp. The few perps on the ground may have been the entire JFKA conspiracy. Just IMHO.

That said, the picture of the bespectacled Jack Ruby correcting Wade on the fine points of Castro and anti-Castro groups...boggles the imagination.

"Jack Ruby publicly corrected (at a news conference) District Attorney Henry Wade by stating that Lee Harvey Oswald was connected to the 'Fair Play for Cuba' Committee rather than the 'Free Cuba Committee.'"

I would wager not 1 in 100 Dallas residents in 1963 could make the distinction, including Wade.

If LHO was linked back to Bruce Solie...as Tennent Bagley, John Newman, and Tom Graves have suggested...then there would be reasons to keep LHO quiet.

The LHO-Havana-KGB links have never really been examined.

Explain.

The "information had been given out earlier"...sure, there were some news reports connecting LHO to Havana, largely courtesy of the DRE. So what?

But again...if you polled 100 residents in Dallas, what minute sliver do you think could distinguish between the "Fair Play for Cuba Committee" rather than the "Free Cuba Committee"?  Sure, some news guys maybe, following the LHO story, might know the difference.

But why Ruby?

Typically, LNT'ers describe Ruby as an underpowered and largely unsuccessful nightclub operator, a nobody, so unsuccessful he shared an apartment in a low-rent section of Dallas. Even the second-rate mob of Dallas snubbed Ruby. A stumblebum.

But Ruby was lightening fast on feet at a news conference, alertly catching DA Wade in a small verbal slip. On a rather arcane topic.

It is enigmatic.

It was a Mafia plot to kill JFK ordered by Carlos Marcello. Ruby lied about being at Parkland Hospital after the assassination, and he lied about walking down the ramp to kill Oswald. Before anyone says well Ruby had no way of knowing the time of the transfer that's BS he was left in the basement by an officer and I'm sure he was tipped off by one.
