Dr. Baden Refuted the Single-Bullet Theory

John Mytton:

--- Quote from: Tim Nickerson on September 22, 2026, 03:29:53 AM ---Here's something that just came to me. In the left and right side views taken during the SBT reenactment, the Kennedy stand-in is not seen in a fully straight-on lateral view. The camera seems to have been four or five feet forward in the right side view and five or six feet to the rear in the left side view. Could it be that we are getting a false impression in the left side view that the rod was above the chalk mark?

John Mytton, where are you?

--- End quote ---

The chalk mark is the actual location of the bullet entrance on Kennedy's jacket.
The bullet trajectory in both photos is represented by the rod, and we can see the angle Specter uses is equal to the angle from the 6th floor to the Limo, as calculated by the surveyors theodolite in the background.
Since they couldn't skewer the Kennedy stand-in, they duplicated the trajectory in 2D mapped onto the 3D wound locations.
The straight line at the same angle from the 6th floor, between Kennedy's neck wound through to Connally's back wound completely validates the SBF!
And finally, since we know Kennedy's jacket was bunched, the chalk mark has to be in a lower location on an unbunched jacket.

John Mytton:
Mr. KLEIN. How did you come to the conclusion that a single bullet hit both President Kennedy and Governor Connally?

Mr. SPECTER. Is that a procedural question or substantive question?

Mr. KLEIN. You don't have to go into specific facts but tell us how you came to that conclusion.

Mr. SPECTER. That conclusion was reached because of the evidence which showed that the bullet entered the back of the President's neck and did not strike any solid subject in the President's body and exited from the front of his throat, creasing his tie where a tear was found in his tie, and from the lineup of the President's body and the position of Governor Connally and the position of the limousine, that a bullet existing from the President's throat with the velocity calculated would be ballistic evidence showing that the bullet found on the stretcher, believed to be Connally's , and the large fragments in the front seat of the limousine conclusively having come from the weapon identified as being Oswald's, which have us our basis for calculating velocity, that such a bullet would have had to have struck either someone else in the car or the car itself, and the evidence showed that the car itself was not struck, and Governor Connally was seated immediately in front of President Kennedy, which led to the inference that the bullet most probably struck Governor Connally. The wounds on Governor Connally were consistent with the bullet which had a slight yaw on it and the tests performed on the anesthetized goats were consistent with a bullet losing substantial velocity in tumbling through Governor Connally's chest and consistent with passing through Governor Connally's wrist backward and then, velocity almost spent, lodging in Governor Connally's left thigh. So the facts that we found were all consistent with the single bullet conclusion. But the most persuasive evidence was the alinement of the President, the trajectory of the bullet and the necessity for the bullet to have hit either someone or someone in the car in the absence of having struck the car.

Mr. KLEIN. As you sit here today do you believe that President Kennedy and Governor Connally were hit by one bullet?

Mr. SPECTER. Yes, sir.

Thank you John but that doesn't comport with the WC testimonies of Secret Service agent Thomas Kelley and FBI Agent Lyndal Shaneyfelt.

Mr. SPECTER. What marking, if any, was placed on the back of President Kennedy--the stand-in for President Kennedy?
Mr. KELLEY. There was a chalk mark placed on his coat, in this area here.
Mr. SPECTER. And what did that chalk mark represent?
Mr. KELLEY. That represented the entry point of the shot which wounded the President.
Mr. SPECTER. And how was the location for that mark fixed or determined?
Mr. KELLEY. That was fixed from the photographs of a medical drawing that was made by the physicians and the people at Parkland and an examination of the coat which the President was wearing at the time.
Mr. SPECTER. As to the drawing, was that not the drawing made by the autopsy surgeons from Bethesda Naval Hospital?
Mr. KELLEY. Bethesda Naval.

Mr. SHANEYFELT. All of the photographs made through the rifle sight that are shown on the exhibit in the lower left-hand corner were sighted on the spot that was simulating the spot where the President was wounded in the neck. The chalk mark is on the back of the coat.

John Corbett:
I think the whole discussion about whether or not the jacket was bunched at the moment of impact misses the point. What is important is where the bullet entered JFK's body. It's safe to say that the same bullet that made the holes in his jacket and shirt made the entry wound in his back. The leaked autopsy photo of the back wound compared to the left profile view clearly shows the back wound was above the exit wound in the throat. We also know from the position of JFK's right hand when he disappeared behind the sign and the position of where it was when he reappeared that he was in the process of lowering his right hand but it was still slightly raised at the moment of impact. More importantly, we know his right elbow was resting on the side of the car the whole time which determines the position of his upper arm. That would raise the skin and muscles on his upper right back ever so slightly from where they would be if his elbow was down at his side. The Croft photo probably gives us the best indication of how JFK's upper body was positioned when the bullet struck because that is the one that is closest to the moment the single bullet struck. The slope in his upper back where the bullet entered created the angle of entry that was slightly below perpendicular to the slope of his back. The geometry of the wound and the path to the exit wound is fairly simple once you take into account all the known factors. In short, the SBT is consistent with the medical evidence.

As we know, Boswell's autopsy face sheet placed the base of the neck wound way too low and he corrected it for the HSCA and later explained this discrepancy in his ARRB Deposition, so based on the original JFK face sheet along with the hole in the unbunched jacket, is where the erroneously positioned chalk mark ended up.

Q. Dr. Boswell, I'd like to show you Exhibit No. 22, page 2800, and draw your attention to one portion of that article that relates to what we're talking about now. If you look over in the third column on the right, the first full paragraph, if you could read that to yourself, please.

As I examine the photographs, the President's clothing, and other records, it appears to me as a lay person that the marking that you have made on the diagram on the right seems roughly to correspond to the other records; but it also seems as if you're suggesting that the diagram is incorrect.

A. Right.

Q. Is that right?

A. Yes. When we saw the clothing, we realized that where I had drawn this was--if you looked at the back of the coat, it was in the exact same place. But the coat had been--was up like this. He was waving, and this was all scrunched up like this. And the bullet went through the coat way below where this would be on his body, because it was really at the base of his neck. And the way I know this best is my memory of the fact that-- see, we probed this hole which was in his neck with all sorts of probes and everything, and it was such a small hole, basically, and the muscles were so big and strong and had closed the hole and you couldn't get a finger or a probe through it.
But when we opened the chest and we got at--the lung extends up under the clavicle and high just beneath the neck here, and the bullet had not pierced through into the lung cavity but had caused hemorrhage just outside the pleura. And so if I can move this up to here--it's shown better on the front, actually. The wound came through and downward just above the thoracic cavity and out at about the thyroid cartilage. So if you put a probe in this and got it back through like this, that would come out right at the base of the neck.
