The James Files and Malcolm Summers connection.

Been sifting through the house select committee on assassinations archives of late and I found a rather interesting plug by Malcolm Summers who was a witness.
He states that three men in a maroon 61/62 Chevy turned onto Houston dangerously after the assassination and went down Houston. Files states that himself, Roselli and Nicoletti turned onto Houston in a 63 burgundy Chevy.

Those would be some S-L-O-W escaping assassins. Even in his FBI statement, Summers said he hung around 15-20 minutes. In his Sixth Floor Museum interview, he said he tried to go up to the railroad yard, was turned away by Mystery Guy, went to the Postal Annex through the back entrance, discussed what he had seen with the workers (whom he knew as owner of Summers Mailing Company), called his wife and told her to turn on the TV, left the Postal Annex after 20-30 minutes, got into his truck that was parked on the Commerce extension behind the Annex, saw three Spanish-looking guys get into a car parked on Houston in front of the Annex (which doesn't mesh with what Files says), and arrived at the intersection with Houston just as they drove away ahead of him at a fast clip, whereupon he turned right onto Houston behind them and headed home to Oak Cliff. Again, pretty S-L-O-W escaping assassins, it seems to me, and I'm not sure why you'd bother driving away at a high rate of speed if you'd already hung around 30+ minutes.

There are people who still believe anything James Files says? If so, why!? The man is an out and out liar.

I'll never understand why people are constantly going off on these snipe hunts trying to at long last find credible evidence that there was a conspiracy to kill JFK. Do they ever stop and ask themselves why no one has ever found such evidence. Could it be that the reason is there was no conspiracy.

I've thought the same thing. Files seems to state they made off fast. Summers was a good 20 minutes after the assassination. Definite problem right there as you say.
It's just that Files states there were three in the car and so does Summers.
It's just that Files states it was a burgundy color and Summers states it was maroon which is basically the same.
It's just that Files states it was a 63 Chevy and Summers states possibly a 62 Chevy.
It's just that Files states they were headed down Houston and Summers states they were headed down Houston.
Odds of that? Summers made his statement in 63, Files made it in 1994 which was 31 years after the fact. Maybe files had the parking area wrong, maybe he had the time that everyone got back in the car wrong?
There are many more things that Files has said and I'm pretty damn sure some of that information is only available to see after the last release of JFK documents. I have more work to do on Files and what he's said but I don't think he pulled the trigger on JFK but I think he's protecting who did and that person may still be alive.
