You need to do research on Cardinal Francis Spellman and Senator John Kennedy.

Read up on the American Friends of Vietnam, a very influential and powerful but relatively small organization which advocated for SV nationhood. Senator Kennedy was the organization's dynamo.

Famous Speech: On June 1, 1956, Senator Kennedy delivered a prominent speech at an organization conference luncheon in Washington, D.C., famously calling South Vietnam "our offspring" and asserting that the U.S. could not abandon it.

The Kennedy family, devout Catholics and ardent anti-communists, loathed and detested the communist North Vietnam.

They more or less installed he Catholic Diems to run SV.

Ngo Dinh Diem first met John F. Kennedy in 1951 in the United States.

Background of Their Meeting

The Introduction: Cardinal Francis Spellman introduced Diem to Kennedy while Diem was living in the U.S. during a period of political exile.

Their Positions: At the time, Diem was an exiled Vietnamese nationalist leader, and Kennedy was a young U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts.

Shared Interests: Both men bonded over their shared Catholic faith and strong anti-communist political views.

The US and Kennedy did not support the 1954 Geneva accords, which they feared would lead to a commie SV in addtion to NV.

I wrote about this over at the EF-JFKA, but I am too lazy to try to go and find it.

Your comment made it sound as if JFK was instrumental in the formation of South Vietnam as a country. He had nothing to do with that. Ike's administration engineered it after the French got their butts whipped by Ho Chi Minh. He didn't want the whole country to go communist. All we managed to do was delay that outcome for two decades and it cost us the lives of over 58,000 US servicemen not to mention untold numbers of Vietnamese soldiers and civilians.

I'd like to apply for re-admission...I sent requests to Simkin in various places he posts but he didn't respond...

Right now I don't have access to my e-maill address because AOL heightened security and will only send a confirmation code to my hurricane-destroyed house that is no longer there...I am working on it...AOL takes itself way too seriously and needs a court order for me to get my own e-mail address back...

The moderator team is like a star chamber where they know what the clique wants and enforce it...

Mark:   ROKC is a troll farm as their content should instantly make anyone aware...

If you look over on The Education Forum Jim D is ball room dancing with "Lori Spencer" who just posted that Sirhan shot RFK...And they are doing it in reference to the Luna Commission...

Your mischaracterizing my input towards ROKC is not appreciated by myself...I posted to them the correct information on Prayer Man as well as my evidence break-throughs...That doesn't deserve to be sold short like you do and especially from someone who offers so little research substance and appears to be posting non-seriously...

……and I admitted my error thinking it was a dude taking pictures with a camera.  She’s holding something up to her face and it looked like a camera to me, but you and Duncan turned me around.  Imagine that?  takes a lot to change my shrinking brain.
but your posting style brings out the worst in people, they might start accusing you of ‘puffery’.  ever heard that word, bird?  dang, this is turning into one of your block paragraphs so I better stop.  waiting for da ali g movie for I to see.

and as for not posting anything of substance, all i can do for you there is quote the
Moody Blues, to wit:

“all the words you can say have been said
it’s for you my tears I shed”

Perhaps I should copy your exemplary academic posting style...Meanwhile the posting style of the Prayer Man trolls goes uncriticized, which involves some of the worst organized corruption and dishonesty in internet history...Kamp then gets the endorsement of podcast idiots who are just looking to self-promote themselves with popular theories and researchers - evidence be damned (Ciphered Past, Robbie Robertson, Rob Clark, Len Osanic)...

Prayer Man is holding her purse up in front of her face and is looking down in to it...Her grand daughter Wanda sent me a photo of herself holding the purse as a child...

The internet allows dominating personalities to manipulate moderator favoritism and place friendships and clique over good evidence...They keep Mark Knight around to make sure they get away with it...Once disproven they keep their bad bans and don't apologize...It is much easier to just ban the people who out-argue you instead of admitting your were wrong...
