Does this photo help at all? 

   The value of this photo is that it shows how little of the Island there is behind the traffic signal pole. And Fedora Man was standing very close to the traffic signal pole. Just look at the Towner Film after the JFK Limo makes the turn onto Elm St. Fedora Man is almost leaning on that traffic light.
