"The KGB (today's SVR and FSB) is a world-class humanitarian organization (especially compared to the evil, evil CIA!), and it had absolutely nothing to do with "abnormal" former Marine sharpshooter and U-2 radar operator, Lee Harvey Oswald, during the two-and-a-half years he lived half-a-mile from a KGB school in Minsk!"

Afterall, that's what a putative KGB staff officer and false defector-in-place in Geneva in June 1962 / false (or perhaps rogue) physical defector to the U.S. in February 1964 by the name of Yuri Nosenko -- who was "cleared" by probable mole Bruce Solie via a bogus polygraph exam and a specious report in October 1968 and hired a year later to teach "counterintelligence" to the CIA's and the FBI's new recruits -- said, so it must be true!

Heck, even Gerald Posner, Fancy Pants Rants, and Steve M. believe him!

(LOL!)

Can you provide an actual quote from James DiEugenio and/or from any researcher who agrees with him that the KGB was a "world-class humanitarian organization"?

MTG--

After the Israelis waxed Hassan Nasrallah, the terrorist Hezbollah leader in Lebanon, James D. favorably eulogized Nasrallah in a X post.

One small taste of Nasrallah: In a 1998 speech marking the Day of Ashura, and published in what was Hassan Nasrallah's official website[57][58][59] at that time, Nasrallah referred to Israel as "the state of the grandsons of apes and pigs – the Zionist Jews" and condemned them as "the murderers of the prophets."[

Or this: October 7 attacks While calling for the "liberation" of Jerusalem and mentioning Israel as a "Zionist existence", Nasrallah called the attacks of Hamas on Israel on 7 October 2023 a heroic operation. Nasrallah had said that Hezbollah's missile and drone attacks against northern Israel, which began immediately after 7 October, were carried out in solidarity with the Palestinians.[17]

James D. also posted seemingly pro-IRGC commentary at EF-JFKA, regarding their barrages of missile attacks on Israel at the time.

James D. also ran a four-part series on his substack that quotes Joan Mellen's crackpot theory that LBJ, the Israelis and even the captain of the USS Liberty conspired to have the ship sunk, so that LBJ could send four fighter jets to drop nukes on Cairo. You can't make this stuff up.

If James D. has any ill feelings towards Putin, the KGB, the IRGC, the SV communist terrorists, or Hamas, he has never expressed such. Somehow, Western liberal democracies are aways the bad guys.

You know about the SV communist-terrorists. I am reading your (excellent) book.

What say you?
