I have come across a very short Color Film Snippet of the Knoll. This snippet runs roughly 3 seconds and is buried within a JFK Assassination presentation on "You Tube". This film footage pans across the Knoll/Pergola (R-L). It gives a quick view of the area between the cement walkway leading into the shelter and the N-S picket fence. At the very end of this roughly 3 second snippet, there is what looks like a man holding a rifle in the Black Dog Man area behind the short wall. The people on the knoll filmed in this snippet are wearing 1963 style clothing. There are No Flowers on the knoll and that crowd control wire that stretched down Elm St has Not yet been put up. It is later in the afternoon, but how much later I don't know. The man with a possible rifle at the very end of this snippet is only viewable for maybe 5 frames. And he must be viewed "Frame-By-Frame". At normal speed this possible Rifleman is easily missed. I have already conferred with 3 other long time researchers that are active on this Forum. They ALL had Never seen this snippet before and felt the image of this possible Rifleman was inconclusive. I am asking this Forum for help in ID'ing who filmed this color film snippet. It could be the work of Oliver Stone. I don't know. That said, everything within this entire You Tube JFK Assassination presentation is 1st Rate. Nothing kooky or even borderline. I am asking this forum for help in ID'ing who filmed this snippet.
The film snippet runs from 2:08 - 2:11 At the 2:11 Mark, a man above the Black Dog Man spot is facing the camera. I think he is standing on top of the bench back there. A possible rifle is stretching across his chest. The barrel of this rifle is visible just above his (L) Shoulder. The light colored rifle stock rests against his (R) thigh. Please remember to view the 2:11 Mark FRAME-BY-FRAME. I don't know what a possible shooter would be doing hanging around the Knoll after the assassination, but here this figure is. If you know who filmed this Unknown Film Snippet, please post the ID. Thanks
I can see what you're talking about, but I think any rifleman involved in the JFK shooting would have been long gone by the time this footage was taken.
However, on a related note, by analyzing enhanced versions of the photos taken by Phillip Willis, the HSCA’s photographic experts detected the image of a person standing behind the concrete wall on the grassy knoll and the image of a straight-line object near the region of the person’s hands:
The committee also examined information about the presence of a man near the concrete structure on
the grassy knoll near the area where some witnesses said they believed gunfire had originated.
The photographic evidence panel examined photographs made by Phillip Willis of the area of the grassy knoll
and concluded that a photograph taken by Willis did show a person standing behind the concrete wall on the
knoll. The panel determined that that photograph was taken at approximately frame 202 of the Zapruder
film, which was after President Kennedy received the neck wound but before the fatal head shot. According
to the results of the panel's photographic enhancement and analysis, the figure in the Willis photograph was
consistent with that of an adult approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 6 feet in height and wearing dark clothing.
The panel also noted that in another photograph by Willis, which was taken after the Presidential limousine
had left Dealey Plaza, the figure standing behind the concrete wall had disappeared. The panel concluded that
that movement by the object was consistent with the presence of a human being.
The photographic evidence panel also noted that in the first Willis photograph, which shows the person
standing behind the concrete wall, there is visible, near the region of the hands of the person at the wall,
"a very distinct straight-line feature," which extends from lower right to upper right. (HSCA staff report titled
