For those here who also post in the Education Forum (JFK Assassination Debate), and especially for any newcomers to the JFK case, be advised that the Education Forum has largely become a propaganda organ for the fringe theories of the discredited crackpot L. Fletcher Prouty and for the radical liberal view of the JFK assassination. Most of the Education Forum's moderators are not only devoted Prouty disciples but are also 9/11 Truthers. Recently they have started suspending anyone who posts evidence of Prouty's prolonged association with Holocaust deniers, white supremacists, and anti-Semites, among other problems with Prouty's record and claims. One of the moderators has even accused me and others of being CIA/military intelligence disinformation agents for pointing out Prouty's sleazy record and nutty claims.
The Education Forum used to be the premier forum for JFK assassination debate and research sharing. Now, if you do a search for posts in the forum for the last year or two, you will find threads that peddle the obscene 9/11 Truther claims, that argue that John Lennon and Princess Diana were assassinated by "the Secret Team," that defend Prouty's whacky theory that Churchill had FDR poisoned, that argue that the Israelis played a role in JFK's death, that literally repeat Hamas propaganda about Israel and the Arab-Israeli wars, that repeat Prouty's debunked smear that Edward Lansdale played a key role in JFK's death and that Lansdale was even in Dealey Plaza during the shooting, that repeat the Prouty-Stone-Newman myth that JFK was going to unconditionally withdraw from Vietnam after the election, that repeat the far left's view of the Vietnam War, etc., etc. You get the idea.
There are still some credible researchers who post valuable research in the Education Forum, but, sadly, their research is lumped in with the kind of disreputable material mentioned above. In most cases, for every one worthwhile post in the forum, there are two or three unserious, extremist, fringe posts.
I am not saying to avoid the Education Forum. I am saying that people need to understand what the Education Forum has become.
In terms of being able to express your views without fear of unreasonable censorship, this forum is a much better forum than the Education Forum. Another forum for open discussion on the JFK case is the history forum of the U.S. Message Board, but the subject is only discussed there intermittently.
