"...frightened citizen"? That characterization is totally inaccurate based on ALL of the audio/video recorded that morning. Both women were taunting law enforcement all morning long. She should have gotten out of the car as instructed.

Too bad they are immigration officers with a very limited scope of authority over American citizens.

TG--

Waaay OT, but since you have Mr. Buffalo Horns (Jacob Chansley) up...

What do you make of the video that emerged of Capital Police officers solicitously ushering Mr. Buffalo Horns around the US Capitol, even opening doors for him, and so on, and not taking his flag (which had a dull spearpoint on it, which was later described as a weapon).

Mr. Buffalo Horns then becomes the face of the riot.
Highly suggestible TG has morphed into QAnon Shaman because I told him I had no idea who his previous avatar was and thought QAnon Shaman might be a nice change. Having investigated QAnon Shaman as a possible avatar myself, I neglected to tell TG that all images are now owned by Worldwide Buffalo Horns Guy, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals, and are subject to the payment of licensing fees and royalties. TG will be receiving a cease-and-desist letter from Jones, Hornblower & Mrs. Buffalo Guy, PC, Eli Lilly's ruthless Des Moines law firm, so we can expect yet another avatar change from TG in the next 24 hours. TG would appear to be at least a borderline case of Histrionic Personality Disorder, charcterized by "unstable emotions, a distorted self-image and an overwhelming desire to be noticed. People with HPD often behave dramatically or inappropriately to get attention." Oh, wait, that's 3/4 of the people on internet forums, possibly including me.

Do you think they conspired with him, or he with them?

From all the videos, we now have a pretty solid idea of what happened to Renee Good. I simply ask myself this: If the driver of that car had been the most notorious, dangerous punk in my neighborhood ... and said notorious punk had smilingly said "hey, dude, I'm not mad at you" ten seconds before ... and said punk's spouse were still standing outside the car ... and said punk had obviously turned the steering wheel away from me and were moving forward at 10 mph ... and I were standing where Agent Ross was ... would I IN MY WILDEST DREAMS actually feel threatened with grave injury and feel I had ANY CAUSE AS A FELLOW HUMAN OR ANY LEGAL RIGHT WHATSOEVER to pump bullets into said punk, both through the windshield and the open driver's side window? NOT IN MY WILDEST DREAMS. I would realize immediately had I had made a grave human and legal mistake was in deep, deep doo-doo. The fact that anyone, even the most far-right law-and-order gun-toting enthusiast, is trying to justify this is absolutely astonishing and frightening. The actions and words of the ICE agents, fortunately captured on video, tell you these were stressed-out, angry goons and that Renee Good was the victim of their rage.

I recall Ben and I unpopularly agreeing on the leftist Ed Forum at the time that Jan. 6th was essentially a Monty Python skit gone wrong due to a host of factors not having much of anything to do with your avator or his fellow revelers. That's still my position. I've seen scenes that look more like an insurrection at my local Walmart on a busy Saturday morning.

I can't say I've ever seen shoppers defecate in the offices of Walmart on a busy Saturday morning.
Or attack security officers with, makeshift weapons like flagpoles and fire extinguishers, or chemical sprays, stun guns, and knives.

Dear FPL,

Former Special Counsel Jack Smith said under oath recently that then-President Trump was the person most responsible for the violent and deadly January 6 attack on the Capitol, including the risk to his own Vice President.

Jack Smith?  :D :D :D You didn't really just cite Jack Smith, did you? You need to find a new flavor of Kool Aid. Next you'll be solemnly citing Nancy P.'s opinion of the event.
