LOL. Ironically all those Trump quotes suggest he was much closer to the truth than Fauci. Fauci overblew the efficacy of measures like wearing masks and social distancing. Everyone was going to get COVID regardless of that nonsense. The only real question is whether Fauci was grossly incompetent or more directly involved in politicizing the pandemic for political purposes. Trump looked like a genius compared to Fauci. The strategy should have been to accept that the virus was going to run its course. Healthy people would suffer mild symptoms and be better off for having natural immunity going forward. The priority should have squarely been on protecting the elderly and unhealthy. Fauci and the Dems, however, were mad with power and wanted to maximize the pain to win the 2020 election. And they did. They never cared how many people had to die or how many businesses went under. All that ever mattered was power and defeating Trump.
