Yes, I was surprised in some recent reading at the extent to which the US entry into both WW1 and WW2 was highly unpopular with large numbers of Americans. There was widespread speculation that Pearl Harbor was known about with enough advance warning to stop it but that it was allowed to occur to jolt the public out of its isolationist apathy.

There is some happy medium between the isolationist fantasy and the fantasy that the US can be the entire free world's military, policeman and peacekeeper. The Ukraine war can be argued and debated from almost every angle.

I was surprised today to see that in the comments section on FOX News the sentiment has shifted from "Walk away, it's not our problem" to "Nuke Russia now!" It was really quite dramatic. I'm having a difficult time understanding what Putin gains by forcing Trump's hand as he seems to be doing.

I feel sure it has something to do with Tennent Bagley, Bruce Solie and that KGB mole thing ...  ::) ::)

The concept that America is responsible for righting every wrong in the world has now plagued us for 70 years and counting after WWII.  It's bizarre that we have bases around the world to protect people who otherwise stick it to us.  Instead of them paying us to provide their national defense, we pay them.  Then they stick it to us in unfair trade deals.  Canada has recently sided with China.  Why does this happen?  Because allocating a lot of money is a source of power.  Every American politician wants to control the enormous military spending.  Approximately one trillion dollars in the pending budget.  Find a cause to justify a lot of money that you control and that ensures you are in power forever.  So we got the Cold War, and then 9/11 terrorism, and Putin.  And how has that policy worked for us?  Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Ukraine.  None of that is to say that there were perhaps not some good reasons that could be articulated to participate in all these conflicts.  I have no doubt, for example, that the Russians are the bad guys in Ukraine.  But why does the US have to right every wrong?

Zelenskyy has the cards.

And Putin has the military.  My primary objection with the Biden administration was the complete lack of ANY effort to find a settlement but instead mire the US down in another endless regional conflict.  Trump has mad efforts to the end the war.  Arguably, he has put a good deal on the table for Russia.  And they still refuse to deescalate.  Under those circumstances, I have no objection to the US providing Ukraine with weapons.

"10% for the Big Guy" with respect to weapon sales and the needed replenishment. And 10% coming from the Mexican Cartels/China. The Biden Crime Family is no stranger to drug transactions.

Storing,

Why wasn't Joe Biden indicted, tried, and convicted?

Regardless, what do you think of the Trump family?

Pure as the driven snow?

Did you somehow miss the DOJ Investigation regarding the Top Secret Documents inside Joe Biden's garage? The audio tapes of his "interview"? The DOJ conclusion?
